In Cyberpunk 2077, Garry The Prophet is an NPC you can find in Watson, Little China area.
He has glasses, and as a prophet, he is preaching about technological advancements and the negative effects they have on young people.
Garry The Prophet, however, is more than a simple NPC.
He is an Easter Egg and a cameo, as you are about to see below.
But first, let’s find him.
Garry The Prophet Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Egg Location
Look for Gary The Prophet southwest of your apartment, as you can see on my map below.
The NPC is standing on an alley in the proximity of Bradbury & Buran fast-travel point. His location is also marked as a side job.
Who Is Garry The Prophet
If you ask yourself who is Garry The Prophet, well, besides the fact he is an NPC, he is an Easter Egg.
Specifically, he is a reference to CohhCarnage, a popular Twitch streamer. His full name is Ben “CohhCarnage” Cassell.
He lives in North Carolina, and he studied Game Design at Full Sail University.
In fact, you can see Ben reacting to finding Garry (or himself) in Cyberpunk 2077 in the video below.
And this brings us to the next question.
What should you do when you find Garry in the video game?
How To Deal With Garry The Prophet
Well, from the start, you can’t kill him if that’s what you want to know.
He doesn’t have a side job for you, either. But he’s asking for money.
So basically, the only thing you can do is to listen to what he has to say (his prophecies), and if you want, spare some money.
You can also talk to him and share some of your thoughts regarding his visions for technological advancements in 2077.
It is also worth mentioning that the amount of money you transfer to Garry’s account and the dialogue choices do not affect the story.
He’s just a friendly fellow who is exposing his thoughts.
That’s everything you need to know about Garry The Prophet and the Cyberpunk 2077 CohhCarnage Easter Egg, so good luck finding him.
So like everything else in this game, a shallow, non-interactable mess
He does have a side job called “The Prophet’s Song”. You need to interact with him a few times until Nomads show up and try to beat him up. If you defend Gary, he’ll give you a info tip that starts the side job.
No, actually. He’s got a semi-hidden quest. You have to visit him multiple times, and I think you have to pick answers that sorta ‘play along’ with what he’s saying, to get on his good side.
I was being very skeptical in my answers of him early, until I read about it, so I think I had to visit him more times than most.
It’s not a super long quest, but it’s still kinda neat.
