The Goat Pen Keycard is a key item featured in Dead Island 2, which allows you to open some of the doors inside the southern Bel-Air mansion you’ll have to explore early in the game. The Dead Island 2 Goat Pen Keycard also plays an essential role in the story since it unlocks the villa’s main door; however, you don’t need it to progress the story. That’s because there are other ways to get inside the Goat Pen house.
Before going after the Keycard, it’s worth outlining the location of the Bel-Air house known as the Goat Pen. As mentioned above, the Dead Island 2 Goat Pen is found on the southern side of Bel-Air, as you can see on the map below.
If you follow the story, you’ll reach this house while playing the main quest named Call The Cavalry. During the said quest, you’ll have to explore the Goat Pen while heading toward the southern border of the map.
Last but not least, after you explore the second area, named Halperin Hotel, you’ll return to Bel-Air during the night, and you’ll have the chance to play the Clickbait side quest by talking to Amanda Styles on the roof of the Goat Pen. So, this building is quite important throughout the game. Now, let’s see where to find the Goat Pen Keycard required to open the main door.
Where To Find the Goat Pen Keycard In Dead Island 2
Assuming you approach the Goat Pen while playing the Call The Cavalry story quest, you’ll eventually get to the northern door, following the marker on your screen. Since you don’t have the Goat Pen Keycard, you won’t be able to open it, and most likely, you will start looking for it outside the house.
Similar to Curtis’ Garage Key, however, the Goat Pen Keycard in Dead Island 2 is found inside the house, not outside. Therefore, head to the roof using the stairs nearby and break the glass above the dining room (pictured below).
Now, drop inside the house and move west on your map while remaining on the second floor. From the table pictured above, turn around, then head left, crossing the lobby past the door you need to unlock.
At the end of the corridor, you’ll find a large bedroom. Clear the area first; then, you’ll notice a streamer’s desk on the other side of the room. On it, there are three monitors. Check the said desk, and in front of the monitor on the left side, you’ll find the Goat Pen Keycard (also pictured below).
Once you pick up the Dead Island 2 Goat Pen Key Card, take your time exploring the bedroom, gathering all the loot. By the bed, you’ll also find the Safe Of Broseidon, which requires Brock’s Safe Key. Last but not least, it’s worth knowing that the Goat Pen Keycard should not be confused with the Goat Pen Master Keys, which open more doors inside the Goat Pen.
