I Left My Parts In San Fran…Err, Bay City is the first Odd Job side quest available in the Bay City area of Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed. The mission has two optional objectives you want to complete to get all the rewards: 10 Furotech Cells and 1 Furotech Reactor.

The optional objectives are:

  • Kill hippies with each bit of tech junk
  • Destroy tanks with tanks

First, to unlock the Odd Job, you must complete the last main mission in the Bay City area, named The Guns Of Alcatraz. Then, you should have the Odd Job sign on your map, showing where you can start the side mission.

Pox is the mission giver and waits for you on the east side of the Bay City area, as you can see on the map above, specifically near the garage and stairs of a house. Talk to Pox now to start the funny mission.

How To Kill Hippies With Each Bit of Tech Junk and Build an Intergalactic Transmitter

It seems you have to build an intergalactic transmitter to phone home, but not before you complete the first optional objective in the I Left My Parts In San Fran…Err, Bay City side quest: kill hippies with each bit of tech junk.

You need four pieces of human technology to build the transmitter. The pieces and the place you need to bring them to are marked on the map below.

You have to pick up each piece with your PK (psychokinesis) by pressing RB (Xbox). Then press LS + RS to make a weapon out of it. You must use each piece to kill a hippie. So you have to kill a total of four hippies.

The hippies are marked with white rhombuses, so finding them won’t be hard. The first piece of technology is a little to the west of the mission’s starting point, next to some tires, as shown in the following image.

Pick up the part, kill a hippie with it, and then bring it to the delivery point. The second piece, which is a car battery, is to the east of the mission’s starting point, under the hood of a vehicle, obviously.

The next part is to the northeast of the mission’s starting point; look for an antenna on the roof of a house, like in the next screenshot.

You need to use your jetpack to get on the roof. The last piece is to the far east of the mission’s starting point, on a table in front of a store near the water.

Don’t forget to kill a hippie with each piece of technology to complete the first optional objective in the I Left My Parts In San Fran…Err, Bay City Odd Job.

How To Install the Transmitter

Once you gather the pieces of technology to the delivery point and build the intergalactic transmitter, you have to bring it to Coit Tower to install it. Coit Tower is the tallest building in Bay City, and you can find it on the south side. Check the map below for the exact location.

But first, you must board your saucer by going to the closest landing zone, on the east side of the Bay City area. The landing zone is marked with a white hexagon on your map and radar.

Fly with your saucer to get above the transmitter and hold LT to aim down at it, then press RB to pick it up with your Abduct-O-Beam. Then, as I mentioned before, bring the transmitter to Coit Tower to continue the mission.

How To Destroy Tanks With Tanks

The next step is to make sure Pox can finish the call. But first, focus on the second optional objective, which requires you to destroy tanks with tanks. The tanks are marked with white hexagons. So go pick up a tank as you did with the transmitter before, then hold RB for a second or two, aim at another tank, and release the RB button.

Do this three times to complete the optional objective.

How To Defend the Transmitter

After dealing with the last optional objective, defend the area around Coit Tower from the tanks. Try to destroy the tanks as fast as possible, or you’ll be overwhelmed. Don’t forget to recharge your shields if needed by pressing Y while aiming at a vehicle.

I know it can get chaotic with all the tanks, but try to listen to Pox’s conversation with Space Traffic Control; it is hilarious.
