NieR Replicant Book Smarts is a side-quest in which you are asked to find the correct locations for two books inside the Village Library.
It is one of the first NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 side-quests you can complete, and it takes only several seconds to do this.
Although tricky at first, the NieR Replicant 2021 Book Smarts side-quest is straightforward, but there is a small catch with it, and below, you’ll learn when you should complete it and where to place the red and blue books in the Library.
NieR Replicant Book Smarts Quest Walkthrough
The Book Smarts quest becomes available after you find the Grimoire Weiss and after you talk to Popola, who will tell you more about it and about the Grimoire Noire.
Since the side-quests in the video game published by Square Enix have a time frame, you’ll want to complete this one before returning from the Manor. Otherwise, you won’t be able to trigger it, and you’ll miss it.
Assuming you are within the correct time frame, visit the Library in your Village (where Popola’s office is found) and look for the young lady in my screenshot below.
She’s on the second floor.
Talk to the NPC, and she’ll ask you to give her a hand by finding the correct shelves for two books.
Once you talk to her once, she’ll give you a Red Book.
Where To Place The Red Book
After you get the Red Book for the Book Smarts quest, head to the other side of the second floor, and while facing the stairs, check the shelf on the left.
As you can see in my screenshot, there is also a ladder next to it.
Simply approach the shelf, and press O (on PlayStation), to place the book.
Now, go back to the young lady, and she’ll give you a Blue Book.
Where To Place The Blue Book For Book Smarts Quest
With the book in hand, head back to the ground floor.
Here you should see two kids talking on the right side, in a corner.
The correct shelf is next to them; or as you can see in my screenshot, it’s on the right side as you enter while facing the same stairs that lead to Popola.
Again, place the Blue Book in this specific spot, then head back up and talk to the quest-giver to get your reward.
For completing the NieR Replicant Remaster Book Smarts quest, you’ll receive 500 Gold.
