Horizon Forbidden West Survey Drones are collectibles you can find to unlock Drone Modules that you can later use in GAIA’s Room at The Base.
The HZFW Survey Drones must be retrieved and looted to get the said Modules.
There are 10 Horizon 2 Forbidden West Survey Drones available in the video game, and the guides below explain how to get all of them.
Since some of the Survey Drones require the Igniter or the Vine Cutter, these are best approached after you get the two tools for Aloy via story progression.
You can also complete them after the story if you wish, as long as you get all 10 Survey Drones Modules Collectibles.
After you get a Module, head back to The Base and use the terminal behind GAIA to change what her room looks like.
