Diablo 4 Butchers of the North is a kill quest in which you must thin the numbers of the flesh-eaters that roam the roads outside of Zakarum Chapel.
Of course, for finishing Butchers North which is part of the 44 Kehjistan side-quests, you will be rewarded for your effort with XP, Gold, Renown points, and a Cache.
The Butchers of North quest’s objective is pretty clear, but you might still struggle because you have to kill many mobs.
Therefore, don’t hesitate to check our walkthrough below to learn how to complete D4 Butchers of the North side-quest quickly.
How To Start Butchers of the North Quest in Diablo 4
Just like The Pilgrim’s Footsteps side-quest, Butchers of the North can be started as soon as you get to the Kehjistan region in Act 4.
When you’re ready, you must find Zarshala, the quest giver, who is located in Zakarum Chapel on the northwestern side of the Amber Sands area.
You can always check the next map for the NPC’s exact location.
Zarshala will ask you to help out with the cannibals that roam the roads outside of the chapel because they are a danger to travelers.
If you succeed in thinning their numbers, the NPC can offer you a reward, but we all know you’ll do it from the kindness of your heart.
Now let’s see where to find the cannibals and how to slay them.
Where To Find Cannibals in Diablo 4
After finishing your conversation with Zarshala, a search area will appear on your map.
The search area is located in the northwestern corner of Amber Sands, as you can also see in the following D4 map.
If you pay close attention to the search area, you’ll notice that there are multiple red dots inside it.
Each red dot represents a cannibal enemy, and you must kill 35 of them.
We know it seems like a lot, but you’ll get it done in no time.
It would be best to run around the search area and gather the flesh-eaters into bigger groups so you don’t waste time taking them one at a time.
Don’t worry too much about dying because the cannibals are not that strong unless you have a high World Tier level.
Also, it’s worth mentioning that the big Savage Beasts don’t count as progress toward your objective, but you should still kill them because they can be annoying.
After finally defeating a total of 35 cannibals, you can return to Zarshala and give the Zakarum Priest the good news.
The priest will be very thankful, and you’ll get your rewards because you’ve just completed Diablo 4 Butchers of North. Well done, Nephalem! But you can now focus on other side-quests in the same area, like Symbol of Faith.
