The Float Ability in Forspoken is mandatory to reach certain spots while exploring the beautiful land of Athia. Also, you’ll need this Skill to unlock the following trophies:
- I Can Fly! – Use Float to stay airborne for ten seconds
- Above and Beyond – Upgrade all your spells
- Call of the Fount: Beatified – Acquire the magical powers available from all Founts of Blessing
- Paragon – Learn every spell
As you can see, this spell is essential, and you should learn it as soon as the video game published by Square Enix allows it. The problem is that to unlock the Forspoken Float Skill, you’ll need to find the corresponding Fountain of Blessing, which can be tricky.
Where To Find the Float Spell Fountain of Blessing
The Lilac Fount you must reach to learn this Skill is located on the southern edge of the Visoria region, as shown on the following map.
You can also open your Skill Tree, scroll to Prav’s section, select the question mark on the bottom row under the Glide ability, and press the Touchpad on your PlayStation controller to see the Lilac Fount you have to get to on your map. Press X on it to place a marker, and you’ll make it easier to get there.
Note that you can’t reach this Fount of Blessing until Forspoken Chapter 11. Assuming that you are good to go, first, you have to make your way to Visoria Castle: Main Gate on the middle west side of the region. The exact location is marked on the map below.
Next, you’ll have to go through the southern gate and follow the road until you reach a small stone bridge. By the way, ignore the enemies you’ll come across because this is a big journey, and it will take you a lot of time if you choose to fight every mob you encounter.
From the stone bridge, continue south, and after quite some distance, you’ll get to a big gap. Now, drop in the gap and head east, following the southern mountain wall. In fact, you should stick close to it. After a while, you’ll come to another gap. Drop down again, and you should see a stream indicating you’re on the right track to the Forspoken Float Spell Lilac Fount.
How To Unlock the Float Skill
Keep following the mountain wall and make your way south. At some point, the path gets narrow, and you have to go downhill. You should soon see a light coming out of a pond, like in the next image.
To finally learn the Float Skill ability, all you have to do is get near the pond and press the X button. After a short cutscene, you can use the spell whenever you want by pressing X in midair.
