Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom features areas in which you must survive under harsh conditions, where you must endure either the cold or the heat.
You should take very seriously the cold and heat in the video game developed by Nintendo because both of them will take you down pretty quickly, depending on how much health you have.
Luckily there are several methods to help you get through the dangerous regions, which you should probably learn before exploring these parts.
As such, make sure to check the guide below to find out how you can protect yourself from Heat & Cold in Legend Of Zelda ToTK.
How To Protect From Cold In Zelda ToTK
Not long after starting your new adventure, you’ll get to a really cold mountain area on Great Sky Island.
The most accessible method to resist cold at this point is to cook Spicy Peppers, which can be found right as you enter the freezing area.
Of course, you need to know how to cook first, and assuming you do, toss some Spicy Peppers in a pot to get Spicy Sauteed Peppers, as shown in the next image.
Note that the more Spicy Peppers you put in the pot (five max), the longer you resist in the cold.
You have more recipes with cold resistance available in the game, but the Spicy Sauteed Peppers are the easiest to cook, at least at the beginning.
Also, another good method is to wear cold-resistant clothing like the Archaic Armor Set covered in depth here.
Building a fire helps as well, and if you have a stick, equip it from the Weapons tab of your inventory, then put it into the fire to make a torch that will warm you as you move.
How To Protect From Heat
Just like with the cold, you have meals and clothing to protect you from the heat.
Cook meals that have ingredients like Hydromelons or Chillshrooms, which provide heat resistance.
Or obtain and equip the Desert Voe Armor Set; you have the Headband pictured below.
