Monster Hunter Rise Lava Caverns is a volcanic area with fiery landscapes characterized by hot, glowing lava flows and ash-covered ground.
As you gather resources and hunt monsters, you will stumble upon collectible items known as Relic Records.
In Monster Hunter Rise, these Relic Records contain Old Messages, with information about the Monster Hunter Universe, and can be accessed through the Notebook in the Hunter’s Notes menu.
While learning more about the game’s lore, finding these Relic Records will fill your pockets with Zenny Coins and Kamura Points, as well as room decorations pieces from Kagero the Merchant.

Monster Hunter Lava Caverns Relic Records Locations Map
Lava Caverns locale contains 10 Relic Records scattered around the two levels: above the ground and underground.

If you have trouble finding any of the Lava Caverns Relic Records, follow the instructions below.
Lava Caverns Message #1: On A Stone Pillar
The first MHRise Lava Caverns Relic Record can be found between Main Camp and Area 1.
Climb the archway with a rope tied by the two stone pillars, then check the left pillar to find the Relic Record.

Lava Caverns Message #2: On A Tree Branch
From the previous Relic Record, head east to Area 4 and look for a tree with a large trunk and pink flowers.
Climb the tree, then check one of its branches to find the Lava Caverns Relic Record stuck on it.

Lava Caverns Message #3: On A Narrow Ledge
For the following Lava Caverns Relic Record, head to the section between Areas 9 and 7.
Then, climb this narrow ledge above a white-icon Mining Outcrop to find the Relic Record.

Lava Caverns Message #4: At The Top Of A Stone Pillar
The fourth Lava Caverns Relic Record in Monster Hunter Rise can be found in a volcanic section with stone pillars on the underground level between Area 13 and 14.
Climb the top of the southernmost stone pillar with ledges around it to find the Relic Record.

Lava Caverns Message #5: In A Hidden Spot
From the previous Relic Record, head to the southern part of Area 14 and look for a stone pillar that is not covered in lava (it doesn’t have a reddish tint).
Climb this stone pillar, then the ledge to reach a hidden place with a few materials and the Lava Caverns Relic Record sitting in the back area near the lava.

Lava Caverns Message #6: At The Top Of The Stone Pillar
For the next Lava Caverns Relic Record, head to the underground section between Areas 7 and 8.
The Relic Record is stuck at the top of one of these stone pillars, as marked in the image below.

Lava Caverns Message #7: Inside An Alcove
The following Monster Hunter Rise Lava Caverns Relic Record can be a bit difficult to spot and reach.
Head to the eastern part of Area 10 and climb the green vines until you reach the last one leading outside.
Before climbing the last green vines, check on the right for a small opening in the wall, which has a small plant, as marked in the image below.
Climb the wall to find the Relic Record inside this alcove behind the plant.

Lava Caverns Message #8: Near Some Ruins
To find the following MHRise Lava Caverns Relic Record, make your way to Area 3, then climb the walls to the northwest corner of Area 6.
Near some ruins, you’ll find the Relic Record stuck in the ground.

Lava Caverns Message #9: Under A Broken Stone Bridge
For the ninth Lava Caverns Relic Record in Monster Hunter Rise, head south from Sub-camp 2 until you reach a broken stone bridge.
Cross over the other side of the steep using your Wirebugs to reach the Relic Record under the broken bridge, as marked in the image below.

Lava Caverns Message #10: Inside A Cave
For the final Relic Record in Lava Caverns, fast travel back to the Main Camp, enter Area 1, climb up the green vines and follow the path down the stairs to the right of the honeycomb to reach a cave opening.
Enter the secret cave and keep going forward until you see the Relic Record stuck in the wall, as in the image below.

Once you have all 10 Lava Caverns Relic Records, return to Kagero the Merchant, who will reward your efforts with the following room decoration pieces:
- Rakna-Kadaki Carving
- Aknosom Carving.
