Sonic Frontiers M-004 Challenge Guide

Sonic Frontiers M-004 is a Challenge you can complete in the Kronos Island area, provided you want to uncover more of your map. But keep in mind that to complete Challenge M-004, you have to solve a little puzzle that may cause you difficulties.

To find this Challenge, you won’t have to venture too far into the Kronos Island area. You’ll just have to finish your business on the small starting island in the southeast of the area and cross the bridge to the second bigger island. Then follow the east coast until you reach a big rock surrounded by two circles. Check the following map to get a general idea of the location.

You can find the sign for the M-004 Challenge a short distance south of the big rock, as shown in the following screenshot.

How To Complete Challenge M-004

You can see some plates between the big rock and the Challenge sign. You have to step on the orange plate to start the puzzle, as you probably already figured from the image above. Then, some plates forming a rectangle will be highlighted blue, just like in the next screenshot.

If you step on a blue plate, you change its color to the default one. The trick now is to walk over the blue plates until you change the color of each one. But you must not touch any other plates except the blue ones. So you can move clockwise or counterclockwise on the rectangle; it doesn’t matter. If you mess up, you can restart the puzzle at any point by stepping on the orange plate again.
