Star Wars Jedi Survivor Coruscant Rooftops Force Tear is the only Collectible Cal won’t be able to retrieve when he starts his journey in the latest SW video game developed by Respawn Entertainment.
That’s because the Force Tear in the Rooftops area of Coruscant is locked behind a Blocked Gate, which requires a specific skill Cal Kestis must learn later in the game.
This means that if you aim for 100% completion on the Rooftops of Planet Coruscant, you’ll have to return to the first region a bit later.
Since the Star Wars Jedi Survivor Rooftops Force Tear is, in fact, a challenge, it is worth knowing that besides the fact you need to unlock the required skill, Cal has to be strong enough to deal with two bosses.
So, let’s see where to find the Coruscant Rooftops Force Tear Challenge and how to access it in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
Coruscant Rooftops Force Tear Location Map
As you can see on the following map, the Force Tear on Coruscant Rooftops is found in the first area you’ll get to explore after escaping Senator Sejan and the Stormtroopers.
While running away from the Stormtroopers, Cal eventually falls on the Rooftops, and in the first section, you’ll be able to get your hands on the first Collectible, which is one of the two Chests we already covered.
Next to the said chest is a Blocked Gate, marked on the map above.
You should also know that since you can’t open the said gate early in the game, you’ll have to backtrack to its location, but your starting point will be the Meditation Point.
Therefore, after you unlock the required ability and the fast-travel option, you must head back to the Coruscant Rooftops starting point.
Force Tear #1 (Fractured Malice): At The Begining Of The Area
Upon arriving at the location marked above, you must use the Force Lift ability by pressing +/+ on the Blocked Gate pictured below.
The Force Lift ability is unlocked during Chapter 4; however, as mentioned above, the Fractured Malice Challenge you’ll access by opening the door requires you to fight two Rancors.
These bosses hit hard, so even if you can open the Coruscant Rooftops Blocked Gate at the end of Chapter 4, you should consider completing the associated Challenge after Cal is powerful enough to face the two Rancors.
Assuming you are ready for them after you unlock the gate, step into the purple portal to begin the Fractured Malice Challenge.
While fighting the Rancros, feel free to ignore the timer in the upper left corner of the screen and focus on surviving the two beasts.
After you kill both of them, the SW Jedi Survivor Rooftops Force Tear counts as completed, and if you followed our guides for the remaining collectibles, you’ll get 100% completion in the first area of Planet Coruscant.
