Sealed Penitent’s Cache is one of the hidden quests in the Dry Steppes region of Diablo 4, where you have to obtain the quest item with the same name and fill the cache with undead spirit energy.

The D4 Sealed Penitent’s Cache is quite similar to the Ravenous Predator’s Offering quest in the Scosglen region, as both require you to find a randomly dropped item and harvest spirit energy from the undead to finish the quest.

As such, follow our comprehensive Diablo IV guide to learn where to find the Sealed Penitent’s Cache quest item and how to unseal it.

How To Start the Sealed Penitent’s Cache Quest in Diablo 4

There are no special requirements to initiate the Sealed Penitent’s Cache quest. In order to start the quest, you must obtain the quest item.

Sealed Penitent’s Cache is randomly dropped by the Shambling Corpses (zombies) in The Scarred Coast subregion of Dry Steppes.

During our playthrough, it dropped in the Ragged Shore area of The Scarred Coast subregion. Check the image below for the exact location.

Plenty of Shambling Corpses zombies are in this area, so you should not have trouble getting the drop.

How to Harvest Spirit Energy From Undead in Diablo IV

After you pick up the cache, you’ll have to fill it with spirit energy from the undead in order to unseal it.

To harvest undead spirit energy, slay undead enemies in the blue circle-marked area and pick up the blue flames dropped on the ground.

Keep harvesting spirit energy from the undead until you’ve filled the quest progress bar under the minimap.
