Raising Spears is a Diablo 4 side-quest, and it’s longer than Consumed by Pride, the precedent one in the questline.
The quest is longer mainly because it takes place in one of the many D4 dungeons, which in general, take some time to complete, as you probably already know.
Diablo 4 Raising Spears is also part of the 38 Dry Steppes side-quests, all required if you are aiming for 100% completion in the Act 3 region.
In Raising Spears, you have to help Ealda make her tribe remember who they are and what sacrifices their ancestors made when faced with certain defeat.
Now if you encounter any problems while completing D4 Raising Spears, you can check our walkthrough below.
How To Start the Raising Spears Quest in Diablo 4
To make the quest available, you first need to reach the Dry Steppes region by completing the main story until you get to Act 3.
Then you must complete the Consumed by Pride side-quest, which we covered in our walkthrough here.
Finally, you have to make your way to Crane Tribe Hutmoot in the northern part of the Untamed Scarps area and look for Ealda, the quest giver.
In case you are struggling to find the Crane Tribe Chieftain, it would be best to check the following D4 map.
As mentioned, Ealda wants to make her tribe remember the glory of their ancestors if they want to have a chance against the cannibals.
Next, you must meet the NPC at the burial grounds of their ancestors, where you have to find the Crane Tribe’s spears and collect them.
Where To Find the Blood-Etched Spears in Diablo 4
As such, Ealda is waiting for you in the Champion’s Demise dungeon, located in the southeastern corner of the Untamed Scarps area.
Once in the dungeon, progress until you reach an area with a bunch of wooden stairs and three Stone Pedestals.
Near the pedestals, you can find three Blood-Etched Spears stuck in the ground.
You should also be able to see them on your minimap marked with blue objective waypoints.
You need to find a total of eight spears, and there are only three here.
To find the rest of the spears, you need to continue exploring the dungeon.
One spear is located at the end of the path southeast of your current location.
After collecting it, you should return to the middle area (where you found the pedestals), then head on the path to the southwest to find two more spears at the dead end.
Finally, the last two spears are at the end of the path northwest of the middle area.
Once you’ve collected all 8 Blood-Etched Spears, you complete the Diablo 4 Raising Spears quest, and you can focus on finishing the dungeon’s objectives, or you can always abandon it if you want. Either way, you’ll get the following rewards for the quest: Renown points, Gold, XP, and a Cache.
Also, you can go back to Crane Tribe Hutmoot and talk to Ealda again to start the Fury Against Fate side-quest, which just became available.
