Dry Steppes is the third region you will have to explore during Act 3 of Diablo 4. This region is home to 38 unique side quests that introduce fascinating characters and their undiscovered stories.
In fact, there are 39 Dry Steppes side quests available, but only 38 are required to get all Renown Points within the region.
After finishing a side quest, you’ll receive 20 Renown points for the Dry Steppes region, as well as other rewards like XP, Gold, Caches, and Equipment.
The Dry Steppes region also features four Quest Challenges available to complete as follows: A Fiend So Familiar, Fury Against Fate, Hubris Smiles Back, and Arbiter of the Steppes.

Return to Gerti in Ked Bardu and speak with her. Head east to the marked area in Hapless Frontier and kill Oppressors until they drop an Oppressor Horn. Travel to the marked location northwest and enter the Infected Delve dungeon. Interact with the Glittering Ore Veins within the dungeon to find and gather Silver Quartz. Return the materials to Gerti in Ked Bardu to finish the side quest. |

Find Lakren in the large room, and as you try to defeat him, he’ll summon a demon. After you slay the summoned demon, inspect the Gospel of the Mother near the tomb to complete the quest. |

Open the Emote Wheel by pressing Dpad Up (PS/Xbox) or E (PC). Select Customize, search for No Emote, slot it into one of the three wheels, and save the changes. Open the Emote Wheel again and use the No Emote in front of the shrine. Open the Heretic’s Cache to complete the side quest. |

| 10. | Exhuming Faith | Interact with the Blood-Splattered Scroll near the corpse in the Orbei Monastery area. Travel east to the marked area and look for a cliff overlooking the sea in Ragged Shore to find the Zakarum Trail Marker made of driftwood. Head east into the blue circle and look for the Zakarum Trail Marker on another overlook. Head north to the final location and interact with the Strange Scroll. Defeat Izzoth the Deceiver to conclude the quest. |
| 11. | Firsthand Knowledge | Speak with Nurbolat in The Forlorn Tread area. Bring Nurbolat to the marked area and speak with him again. Head north a bit to the marked area and listen to the phantoms chatting. Speak with one of the phantoms, Batzorig’s Neighbor, then defeat both of them after becoming hostile. Talk to Nurbolat nearby, go north to the marked location, and enter the Family Cellar. Speak with Nurbolat again and defeat him. Talk to Nurbolat one last time to finish the quest. |

| 13. | The Unlucky Ones | Speak with Nayan in the Timuur Hinterland area. Kill 50 zombies within The Scarred Coast subregion. You don’t have to be in the blue circle marked area. If the zombies are marked with red dots on your map, they will count toward the quest progression. Return to Nayan and talk to him to complete the quest. |
| 14. | Scorched Debts | Interact and pick up the Scorched Debt Ledger in the Bastard’s Pass area. Travel southeast to Lakren’s Overlook and speak with Andreea the Shadow. Defeat Andreea the Shadow and her group of bandits. Fast travel to Ked Bardu and speak with Urgem, the innkeeper sweeping the floor. Then, speak with Svea working near a campfire pot. Next, talk to Setsgi near the Ked Bardu waypoint location. Travel to the southeastern part of the blue marked area to find and speak with Lyruk in The Crown of Fiends area. Burn the ledger on the nearby campfire, slay the spawning enemies, and speak with Lyruk again. Go southeast to the marked location and talk with Lyruk to begin the summoning ritual. Defeat Orrostus the Collector to finish the quest. |

Travel to the center of the marked area to find the Ragged Encampment and kill the Bandits until they drop the Gibbet Key. Return to Nazaar and use the Gibbet Key to release him, then speak with him. Go to one of the marked locations to help Nazaar choose a weapon, then enter Borza’s Hideout dungeon. Make your way through the dungeon until you reach the end, then slay Borza the Grim, Nizaar the Traitor, and Borza’s gang to finish the side quest. |

| 25. | More Than Meets the Eye | After you finish the Hunting the Relic Hunter side quest, speak with Rakhaan in the Foothills of Saraan area. Travel to the marked location, talk to Rakhaan and enter the Saraan Caldera dungeon. Go through the dungeon until you find a pedestal with a mirror. Search the dungeon for more pedestals which will be marked on the minimap, and redirect the light beams until you create a satanic star. After you speak with Demon Rakhaan, interact with the Ancient Light Device to dispel the illusionary wall. Enter the Relic Chamber and activate the four Ancient Light Breziers. Then, defeat Overseer Kafan and speak with Rakhaan to complete the quest. |
| 26. | Keeping the Old Traditions | Interact with Lonely Offering in the Valley of the Strayed area. Go to the marked area in front of the ancient statue. Open the Emote Wheel by pressing Dpad Up (PS/Xbox) or E (PC). Select Customize, search for Yes Emote, put it into one of the three wheels, and save the changes. Open the Emote Wheel again and select the Yes Emote. Open the Hidden Chest to conclude the side quest. |

| 28. | Hubris Smiles Back | After completing the Augury of Bones side quest, go to the marked area in The Grinning One and speak to Ogai. Enter the Grinning Labyrinth dungeon and kill Fallen Demons until you’ve collected 5 Baneful Oblations. Return to Ogai outside of the dungeon and talk to him. Place the offerings on the Ritual Stones around Ogai. Speak with him to complete the side quest. |
