Diablo 4 Culling of Flesh is a kill quest in which you help Kaida and her brother, two NPCs in Crane Tribe Hutmoot, to get revenge on the cannibals.
Culling of Flesh is a side-quest, so it’s not mandatory for the main story, but you must tackle it if you want to achieve 100% completion in the Dry Steppes region.
Of course, if you want 100%, you need to complete all 38 Dry Steppes side-quests, but luckily they are pretty fun, and you’ll have a blast with them.
As such, in the following walkthrough, we’ll focus on D4 Culling of Flesh and provide all the instructions you need to complete the side-quest.
How To Start the Culling of Flesh Quest in Diablo 4
The side-quest doesn’t require any special requirement to unlock it.
All you have to do is play D4 until you get to Act 3 and start exploring the Dry Steppes region.
Then you must head to Crane Tribe Hutmoot in the northern part of the Untamed Scarps area.
Once you reach the settlement, look for Kaida, a female NPC who is taking care of her hurt brother.
You’ll find the two NPCs in front of a round tent on the southwest side of the settlement.
To help you even further, we’ve marked the location of Kaida, the quest giver, on the map below.
When you find the NPCs, talk to them to see how you can help out.
It seems Kaidu, who is Kaida’s brother, got maimed by the cannibals.
However, he got lucky because the rest of the warriors he was with are unrecognizable.
Now, Kaidu wants revenge, but his shape doesn’t allow it, and as always, you are here to be the hero.
Where To Find the Cannibals in Diablo 4
After talking to Kaida and Kaidu, you can open your map to notice the quest’s search area south of your current location.
The area is filled with cannibals you must kill to revenge Kaidu.
Once you enter the search area, you’ll see that the cannibals get marked with red dots on your map when you get close to them.
Your objective is straightforward, you must kill 50 cannibals, and as you figure out, it might take some time.
However, we suggest not taking them one by one; instead, run all over the area and group them, then use your abilities to kill them.
Usually, the Ultimate Skill is very good for clearing big groups fast.
The mobs are not that strong; thus, you shouldn’t have problems with them.
After killing 50 of them, you can head back to Kaida and Kadu to give them the good news that the score has been settled.
