To begin the Currencies From Afar side quest in Diablo 4, there are no specific requirements that need to be fulfilled. All you need to do is find the Bag of Old Coins quest item.

You can find the Bag of Old Coins by searching the corpses or the chests in the Untamed Scarps subregion of Dry Steppes.

We were lucky enough to obtain the Bag of Old Coins from the second searchable corpse in the central part of the Untamed Scarps.

As you may already be aware, there is no guarantee that you will receive it from the exact location. Keep searching the chests and corpses in this subregion until you get the drop.

Where To Find Gesur in Diablo IV

Once you obtain the Bag of Old Coins quest item, fast-travel to the Jirandai waypoint and meet Gesur in front of the Yinsuk Tree.

Gesur assumes that the item you have found belonged to a traveler and decides to place it alongside other offerings. He expresses hope that the offering will serve as protection for future travelers.

You can also bring the Tarnished Amulet to Gesur to place it alongside the other offerings at the Yinsuk Shrine.

As a reward for bringing the Bag of Old Coins to the Yinsuk Shrine, you’ll receive 20 Renown Points for the Dry Steppes region, XP, Gold, and an Elixir Cache.
