Diablo 4 Salt Begets Salt is a delivery quest you can complete in Dry Steppes, the Act 3 region of the video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment.
In Salt Begets Salt, which is part of the 38 Dry Steppes side-quests, you have to retrieve a goat named Tuji for Jargal, a male NPC.
However, finding Tuji can get tricky if you don’t pay close attention to your surroundings, and it can take some time.
As such, don’t hesitate to check our following walkthrough if you get stuck in D4 Salt Begets Salt side-quest and need help.
How To Start Salt Begets Salt Quest in Diablo 4
To be able to play the quest, you must first reach the Dry Steppes region in Act 3 and head to the Untamed Scarps area.
Then, you need to make your way to Jirandai, the region’s southernmost town.
Luckily, there is a Waypoint in Jirandai you can use to fast travel, provided you’ve already visited the area and unlocked it.
Finally, you have to head to the town’s southeastern corner, as shown on the map below, and talk to Jargal to see what is wrong with the troubled man.
Jargal is upset because his goat, Tuji, got stolen from him by Gan.
It seems Gan took Tuji to Qara Yisu, and considering that the goat is like a son to Jargal, you decide to help and retrieve it for him.
Where To Find Tuji in Diablo 4
Upon accepting the task, you must open your map and look for the quest’s search area in Qara Yisu, east of your current location.
Once you reach the spot, start looking for Jargal’s goat by carefully exploring every inch of the search area.
Even so, you could still miss Tuji if you don’t have a keen eye; therefore, we’ve marked the exact location of the goat on the next map.
As you can see, you must head to the west side of the search area to find the goat next to some rubble and a petrified man.
Sadly Tuji seems to be dead, and you must interact with his corpse to retrieve it.
Then, you can also inspect the petrified man, which seems to be Gan’s Corpse, to see the following message:
The goat thief’s body was turned to dense salt. Large portions are missing, as if eaten.
Now it’s time to take Tuji back to Jargal and give him the sad news.
But when speaking with Tuji’s owner, you find out that the goat is, in fact, just sleeping as he always does after eating salt.
We have a happy end this time, and for completing Diablo 4 Salt Begets Salt side-quest, you get a Salvage Cache, Gold, XP, and 20 Dry Steppes Renown points. However, if you want to start another quest in Untamed Scarps, you have Keeping the Old Traditions available in the eastern part of the area.
