Diablo 4 What Can’t Be Cured is an escort quest available in the Dismal Foothills area of the Hawezar region.

Thus, What Can’t Be Cured is part of the 49 Hawezar side-quests, and to complete it, you must escort Nevan, a male NPC, as he travels to the Wejinhani town to find a cure.

But the path to the town is dangerous as it’s filled with mobs, and Nevan will also want to stop every now and then to collect some herbs.

Therefore, it might not be a bad idea to check the walkthrough below to make sure you don’t encounter any problems while completing D4 What Can’t Be Cured side-quest.

How To Start What Can’t Be Cured Quest in Diablo 4

The quest becomes available from the beginning of Act 5 in the Hawezar region, so you don’t have to meet any special requirements to start it.

When you are all set, you must make your way to The Bitter Road on the north side of the Dismal Foothills area and look for the quest giver, who is named Nevan.

We’ve pinpointed his exact location on the next D4 map.

Once you reach the spot, you’ll find the NPC near a fire, and to start the quest, you must talk to him.

Nevan will explain to you how he is on his way to the town of Wejinhani to find a cure, but he is afraid to travel on the dangerous road by himself.

Also, he wants to look for herbs on the way if it doesn’t bother you.

He will use the herbs to trade for the help of the Elders; as such, let’s see where you can find them.

Now, you must plan your route to get to each of the spots marked on the map below.

When you get close enough to any of the places pinpointed above, Nevan will collect herbs; thus, protect him for a little.

To avoid fighting too much, you can use your mount to travel between the stops. You’ll also save time by doing so.

As you travel, you learn that Nevan is here for his baby, and even if the church does not agree with the cure, he must obtain it.

After you get the herbs from the three stops, you must escort Nevan to Wejinhani, following the blue marker on your minimap.

The NPC needs to reach the house south of the town’s Blacksmith, Mirko, as shown in the next image.

Finally, you must speak with Nevan one more time, who will ask you to keep this between you two, or else he and his baby will be burned alive.

Congratulations are in order, Nephalem! You’ve just completed Diablo 4 What Can’t Be Cured quest and received Gold, XP, Renown points, and a Cache. But you can now focus on the Desperate Remedies side-quest, available here in Wejinhani.
