Disney Dreamlight Valley Back On The Waves is Prince Eric’s third Friendship quest, where you will have to gather a couple of materials to fix his Broken Compass.

After you help Prince Eric to make an enchanted object for Ariel to be able to walk on land during Part Of His World quest, he wishes to do naval expeditions again.

So, you will find a few Sea Maps from Scrooge McDuck for Prince Eric and help him repair his Broken Compass to finish the Back On The Waves quest.

Therefore, in the following guide, we will explain in detail how to complete the Back On The Waves quest in the adventure game developed by Gameloft for PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation Platforms.

How To Complete Back On The Waves Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you complete the Part Of His World quest by helping Prince Eric to craft the Nautilus Pendant for Ariel, reach Friendship Level 7 with him and speak with him to begin the Back On The Waves quest

Prince Eric will tell you that he yearns to start sailing on the ocean again, but first, he needs some maps of the seas around the Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Complete Back On The Waves Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Talk to Scrooge McDuck to get the Sea Maps from him and return to Prince Eric with them.

After you give him the Sea Maps, he will tell you that he already has a Compass, but unfortunately is broken, so you decide to ask WALL-E for help.

How To Craft Dreamlight Magnet In Back On The Waves Quest

Give the Broken Compass to WALL-E, and he will task you to find the following materials to craft a new Dreamlight Magnet and fix the Broken Compass:

  • 4 Iron Ingot
  • 6 Tinkering Parts
  • 8 Crystal

Iron Ingot is a craftable material that can be made at the Crafting Station. To craft 4 Iron Ingots, you will need to collect 20 Iron Ore and 4 Coal Ore.

To gather Iron Ore, use your pickaxe to mine the Rock Spots around Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, or Forgotten Lands edges.

Tinkering Parts is also a craftable material that can be made at the Crafting Station. To craft 6 Tinkering Parts, you must use 4 Iron Ingots.

So, you will have to gather additional 20 Iron Ore and 4 Coal Ore, for a total of 40 Iron Ore and 8 Coal Ore.

The Crystals can only be found by mining the Rock Spots in Forgotten Lands.

Now, go to a Crafting Station, craft 8 Iron Ingots, then 6 Tinkering Parts, and finally, under the Functional Items tab, craft the Dreamlight Magnet.

Find WALL-E and bring him the Dreamlight Magnet so that he can fix the Broken Compass.

With the Sailor’s Compass in your inventory, find Prince Eric and give it to him, who will be impressed with what you’ve done for him.

After you finish the conversation, meet Prince Eric inside his Castle and talk to him again.

He will tell you about his plans to make blueprints of the lost Dreamlight Valley artifacts found during his voyages and sell them to finance his future expeditions.

This will permanently unlock the blueprints table in his home, allowing you to buy unique building plans. By purchasing them, you will unlock blueprints directly on your Crafting Station.

And that’s how you complete the Back On The Waves quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley and unlock the next quest in line, known as The Mystical Crystal.
