Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom Gatakis Shrine – Ride The Winds is a shrine that you may come across during your visit to the Rito Village in the Hebra Mountains region while working on the Regional Phenomena main quest.
In the Gatakis Shrine, your paragliding skills will be essential as the usage of Link’s new abilities will be non-existent. This means you need to have finished the Crisis at Hyrule Castle main quest to unlock the Paraglider.
So, to successfully solve the Gatakis Shrine – Ride The Winds puzzle in Legend Of Zelda TotK, here’s what you need to know.
Where To Find The Tears Of The Kingdom Gatakis Shrine
The Gatakis Shrine can be found in the lower section of the Rito Village in the Hebra Mountains, on the western part.
To reach the Rito Village, approach from the east and head towards the Lucky Clover Gazette.
Throw a Hylian Pinecone on the campfire near the downed bridge to create an updraft. These Hylian Pinecones are around the trees near the Lucky Clover Gazette. You can also chop the trees for a chance to get a Hylian Pinecone.
Then, you can use the updraft to glide across the gap with your Paraglider to reach the Rito Village.
How To Complete The Legend Of Zelda Gatakis Shrine Puzzle
After entering the Gatakis Shrine, use your Paraglider to cross the chasm to the next area below. Also, take note of the strong wind.
To do so, jump off the edge by pressing (X), then tap (X) again to activate the Paraglider.
In the next section of the Gatakis Shrine Puzzle, be aware of the lasers. If you activate the Paraglider, the gust of wind will push you forward without any drops.
So, to avoid the lasers, go through the larger gap on the right, as marked in the image below, then turn left to land safely. Make sure to jump off the edge before you activate the Paraglider.
In the upcoming section, there is a large hole that has a rotating mechanism. To successfully pass through it, you must time your drop properly, considering the upward wind.
Make use of your Paraglider intermittently, tapping and dropping to align yourself.
Be cautious, as landing on the surface of the rotating mechanism may result in falling damage if you don’t glide in between, but it is safe to land on it.
After passing through the rotating mechanism, spread your arms and wait to get on the ice below.
Now, jump a couple of times on the ice to break it and dive into the next area.
On the highest platform in this area, you’ll find a Construct Soldier guarding a treasure chest containing a Strong Construct Bow. Land on the platform, defeat him first to open the chest easily.
Below and between the two platforms with Construct Soldiers, there’s a gap in the metal-paneled wall that serves as an exit.
You have the option to either take this route without killing them or dismantle them for parts first. Remember that you can push them off the edge, losing all the parts they drop.
After you go through the gap, the updraft will take you straight to the altar. Interact with the green sigil to complete Gatakis Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and to receive your Light of Blessing.
