Hestu, the beloved giant Korok, reappears in Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom to help you increase your inventory size to carry more melee weapons, shields, and bows.
Initially, Hestu can’t be found in Korok Forest or the Lookout Landing. To increase your pockets using Korok Seeds, you must first save the maraca-shaking creature during the Hestu’s Concerns side adventure.
As a reward for completing the Hestu’s Concerns adventure, you’ll have the opportunity to increase your weapon, shield, or bow stash size by two additional slots.
Here’s where to find Hestu and how to complete the Hestu’s Concerns adventure in the video game developed by Nintendo.
How To Start ToTK Hestu’s Concerns Side Adventure
As you journey towards the Rito Village, you may encounter a giant Korok named Hestu.
You can find Hestu under the Skyview Tower in Lindor’s Brow and northwest of New Serenne Stable. We’ve also marked his location on the map below.
If you talk to him, he will reveal that he is scared of a nearby group of trees, which will also start the Hestu’s Concerns Side Adventure.
Now, let’s see how we can help Hestu with these trees in Legend of Zelda ToTK.
How To Complete The Legend Of Zelda Hestu’s Concerns Adventure
After you speak with him, you’ll have to take down the two living trees up the hill. To easily defeat them, equip an axe or use anything that produces fire.
If you have a Flame Emitter (Zonai device) in your inventory, you can fuse it with your weapon to create a flame thrower on a stick. Or you can shoot at them with fire arrows by fusing Fire Fruits.
Once you set them on fire, wait for the fire to burn them slowly. When the fire goes off, light them up again. Repeat this process until they are down.
It’s important to note that repeatedly using fire won’t cause the burn effect to stack up.
After you’ve destroyed the trees, return to Hestu, who will reveal that he’s searching for Korok Seeds.
You can give one to him in exchange for an additional slot in your weapon, bow, or shield stash. If you don’t know how to get a Korok Seed, check our Great Sky Island Stone Korok guide here.
Once you have spent your first Korok Seed, Hestu will give you a chance to upgrade your inventory with another slot at this location.
After that, he will proceed towards the east, and you will need to locate him again to improve your stashes further.
It appears that Hestu is making his way to Lookout Landing, which serves as the central location for Tears of the Kingdom.
He will likely wander throughout the town, occasionally stopping by the stable, general store, or central plaza.
After gaining access to Korok Forest, Hestu moves to his home there, requiring you to travel to the Korok Forest in the Lost Woods or fast travel to the Musanokir Shrine to upgrade your inventory size.
And with that, we’ve completed the Hestu’s Concerns side adventure in Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. However, we have plenty more helpful guides regarding quests, shrines, or adventures on our Wiki Hub Page here.
