During the Starfield Beer Run mission, you will be asked to do some actions that may be ethically and morally questionable.
However, when it comes to sabotaging a man’s beloved craft beer business just because his sister-in-law wants him to switch to a more profitable agricultural system, it crosses a line.
Henry Filburn is a respectable man who has built a thriving local craft beer enterprise. Unfortunately, his sister-in-law, Sarah Filburn, believes that the Filburn Agricultural Systems enterprise holds the key to their family’s success, dismissing the value of his beer business.
Without Henry’s knowledge, she tasks you with the mission of sabotaging a batch of beer, which could potentially ruin his business.
Now, let’s see what is the best option you can choose to complete the Beer Run mission in Starfield.
How To Start the Starfield Beer Run Mission
In order to trigger the Beer Run mission in Starfield, you must randomly talk to the Akila City Security guards.
Akila City is the capital of the Freestar Collective, located on the planet Akila in the Cheyenne system.
During my playthrough, I received the mission from the Akila City Security guard at the city gates. It’s the same guard that gives you the Job Gone Wrong faction mission during your first visit to the city.

He will tell you that Sarah Filburn and her brother-in-law, Henry, were fighting recently, and he had to interfere between the two, initiating the Beer Run mission.
How To Complete the Beer Run Mission in Starfield
After you learn about the fight between Sarah and Henry Filburn from the Akila City guard, make your way to Weston Filburn’s House and speak with Sarah Filburn.

She will tell you all about the Filburn Agricultural Systems enterprise and how Henry lost interest in the family business to pursue his craft beer hobby.
Should a man be allowed to pursue his passion for crafting beer, or should his dreams be shattered for the benefit of the family business? It’s a difficult decision.
But don’t worry! To assist you in your decision-making process, I’ve provided a list of all potential outcomes in the Beer Run, allowing you to choose the best one that suits your moral compass.
How To Sabotage the Latest Batch of Henry’s Beer
In order to sabotage the latest batch of Henry’s beer, you must find the Filburn Agricultural Brewing Computer situated behind the enterprise’s building near the Recreation Field and interact with it.
You will be presented with several options, and your decision will ultimately determine the outcome of the beer.

Sabotage Option: | Result: |
---|---|
Increase temperature by 20C. | Ruins the beer batch, resulting in its disposal. Sarah rewards you with 2500 credits. |
Increase IBU to 160. | Ruins the beer batch, resulting in its disposal. Sarah rewards you with 2500 credits. |
Increase alcohol content. | It may improve Henry’s beer, or everyone is too drunk to tell, but Henry’s business continues without reward. |
After you select one of the three options presented above, head to your ship and tuck yourself in the bed for 24 hours.
Then, head to the Stoneroot Inn in Akila City to see the reaction of the patrons to Henry Filburn’s latest beer.
If you have chosen to ruin Henry’s last batch of beer by selecting one of the first two options, return to Sarah at her house to end the Starfield Beer Run mission and receive your reward: 2,500 credits and the guilt of ruining someone’s dreams.
But if you decide to increase the alcohol content of the beer, the mission will end in the Stoneroot Inn without a reward.
How To Warn Henry Filburn about Sarah’s Plans
Another secret way to complete the Beer Run mission in Starfield is to inform Henry Filburn of Sarah’s plans.
It seems Henry is enjoying his life and supplying high-quality alcohol to the residents of Akila City.
Also, it would be unfortunate to ruin Henry’s hobby and the citizens’ happiness in Akila City over Sarah’s ambitions.
To locate Henry Filburn, exit Sarah’s house and turn right. His house entrance is the second door on the left of this alleyway.

In this scenario, Henry Filburn will reward you between 2500-3000 credits, and you may feel more satisfied with your decision.
