Protecting the Village is an Atlas Fallen kill side-quest you need to complete if you want to obtain the following rewards: Tributes, Active Formula I, and Essence Dust.

Atlas Fallen Protecting the Village side-quest will require you to aid Old Seven by getting rid of the wraiths outside of the Castrum VII settlement.

However, helping the NPC is no easy task, as you’ll need to fight a Diver enemy, which can be tricky considering you’ve just started the video game developed by Deck13 Interactive and need to learn its mechanics.

No worries, though, because I got your back, and throughout the walkthrough below, I’ll provide all the details you need to complete Atlas Fallen Protecting Village side-quest as fast as possible.

How To Start Protecting the Village Quest in Atlas Fallen

The quest giver for Protecting the Village is found in the Castrum VII settlement, which you’ll naturally reach by progressing with the main story.

Also, I’ll provide the exact location of Old Seven, the quest giver, on the next Atlas Fallen map.

Atlas Fallen Protecting the Village side-quest becomes available as you reach the Castrum VII settlement

When you reach the settlement, you’ll find the NPC on a wooden platform up some stairs at the spot pinpointed above.

You can easily track the place by placing a marker on your map and then following it using the compass at the top of your screen.

After you finally get to Old Seven, talk to him and ask him if there is anything you can help him with.

Then tell the NPC you’ll help with the wraiths to start the side-quest.

How to Defeat the Wraiths in Atlas Fallen

Once you’ve finished your conversation with Old Seven, you need to head out of the settlement through the gate northwest of the quest giver.

Then you must go downhill, behind the rocks on the right side, to find a gauntlet shard that is warded by a spell.

To get the shard, you must first defeat the nearby wraiths; nothing too complicated at first, but after you defeat the first wave, a Diver enemy will attack you.

To slay this type of enemy, you must focus on hitting his head, as shown in the top left corner of your screen.

As such, start jumping and hit him with some aerial combat moves.

Now take down the Diver, collect whatever it might drop, then head back to the gauntlet shard protected by the spell.

If you forgot the location of the shard, just use your compass and follow the blue marker, as shown in the next image.

Of course, you first need to make sure that you have the side-quest tracked in your menu.

As you can see, you can now collect the gauntlet’s shard, so you should do so.

At last, to complete Atlas Fallen Protecting the Village, all you have to do is return to Old Seven and talk to him. But if you’re up for more, you can now focus on the next side-quest from Old Seven, named Building Bridges.
