Brought to Heel is a Diablo 4 gather quest available in Hawezar, the fifth region of the video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Diablo 4 Brought to Heel, as part of the 49 Hawezar side-quests, is mandatory if you want to achieve 100% completion in the swampy region.

However, Brought Heel is tricky enough, especially if you don’t pay close attention to detail while exploring.

Therefore, make sure to check the walkthrough below to learn how to complete D4 Brought to Heel side-quest quickly.

How To Start Brought to Heel Quest in Diablo 4

To play the quest, you need to reach the Hawezar region in Act 5 of D4.

Then you have to get to Backwater, a small town by the sea on the east side of the Forsaken Coast area.

On the following map, we’ve marked the exact location of the quest giver.

As you can see, the town of Backwater has its own Waypoint, which you can use to fast travel.

Of course, the Waypoint must have been unlocked on a previous visit to the town.

If this is your first time visiting Backwater, you should fast travel to the nearest Waypoint and cover the rest of the distance to the town on your mount.

When you finally get to the spot pinpointed on the map above, you must talk to Lumir, a male NPC standing under a red tarp.

Lumir will explain to you how Glin has beaten him, but when you offer to handle it, the NPC will tell you that he needs to take care of this personally.

He just needs you to get some wild red mushrooms from outside the walls.

The mushrooms make people throw up, so that is an interesting approach to revenge.

As you decide to help, let’s see where you can find one of these red mushrooms.

After finishing your discussion with Lumir, you can open your map to see the quest’s search area northwest of Backwater.

The quest's search area is located northwest of Backwater

As you’ve probably already figured out, the red mushroom you are looking for is found in the said search area.

However, if you simply can’t find the mushroom by yourself, don’t hesitate to check our D4 map below, where we’ve marked its location.

When you get to the place, you’ll find the Wild Red Mushrooms next to a pond, as shown in the following screenshot.

Once you’ve collected a red mushroom, you must return to Lumir and give it to him.

The NPC’s problem now is how to slip the sickening vegetable into Glin’s soup, but that is not something you should concern about.

Well done, Nephalem! You’ve found a red mushroom, completed Diablo 4 Brought Heel side-quest, and received the following: XP, Gold, Renown points, and a Rare Two-Handed Sword. But there are other quests in Backwater you can complete, like Dead in the Water.
