Diablo 4 Perceived Threat is a gather quest in which you must help Zurke purge a sickness he has been growing because the Tree perceives it as a threat.

Zurke is an NPC you’ve probably already met while completing the Ire of the Witch side-quest.

The Perceived Threat side-quest is easy enough, and you must finish in order to obtain XP, Gold, and Renown points.

Also, Perceived Threat counts as one of the 49 Hawezar side-quests, meaning it’s mandatory if you want to reach 100% completion in the swampy region.

Thus, throughout the following walkthrough, we’ll provide step-by-step instructions to help you complete D4 Perceived Threat side-quest quickly.

How To Start Perceived Threat Quest in Diablo 4

To start the Perceived Threat side-quest, you must first reach the Hawezar region in Act 5 of the video game released by Blizzard Entertainment on June 6, 2023.

You also have to complete the earlier mentioned side-quest, Ire of the Witch.

Then, you need to travel to Zurke’s Hut on the southwest side of the Rotspill Delta area.

On the following map, we’ve pinpointed the exact location of the quest giver.

Diablo 4 Perceived Threat becomes available after completing the Ire of the Witch side-quest

To reach the Hut quickly, you should fast travel to the closest Waypoint you have unlocked and then cover the rest of the distance on your mount.

Finally, talk to Zurke to learn he has been growing a sickness deep in the swamp, but the Tree perceives it as a threat, and it must be purged.

Zurke adds that to the south, three corpses were prepared with possible cures, and you must bring a sample from the healthiest one.

Now let’s see where you can find Zurke’s experiments precisely.

Where To Find Zurke’s Experiments in Diablo 4

When you’re done talking to Zurke, go ahead and open your map to see the quest’s search area covering a part of The Endless Decay southwest of the NPC’s Hut.

As such, head to the spot to find three different Experimental Corpses you can interact with.

However, the Corpse you are looking for is the westernmost one, as shown in the next image.

The problem is that when you try to collect a Flesh Sample, the Experimental Corpse will attack you, and it is an Elite enemy, but we’re sure it will be no match for you.

After defeating it, you can pick up the Uncorrupted Flesh from the ground and take it back to Zurke.

When you give the NPC the sample, he will ask you what corpse did it come from, and you can choose from three different answers.

No matter what you choose, you complete Diablo 4 Perceived Threat side-quest and receive your rewards.

Congratulations are in order for finishing the quest, our Nephalem friend, but there are plenty more Hawezar side-quests you can tackle, like the next one you can start by speaking with Zurke, named Song of Rot.
