The Snare is a Scosglen side-quest, part of the First Among Wolves questline, which is available in The Downs area of Diablo 4.

Considering that Diablo 4 The Snare counts as one of the 47 Scosglen side-quests, it’s mandatory to finish it if you’re aiming for 100% completion in the region.

However, the quest can be tricky as you need to locate an item and fight a lot of mobs, but you’re probably used to it by now.

Therefore, if you want to complete D4 The Snare quest quickly, make sure to check the following walkthrough.

How To Start The Snare Quest in Diablo 4

As mentioned, The Snare is part of a questline, which means you first have to complete the previous quest, First Among Wolves.

Note that the questline is available in the Act 2 region, Scosglen; thus, you need to progress with the main story if needed.

At the end of the First Among Wolves quest, Artair explains that to stop people from turning into werewolves in The Downs area, you need to gather the following:

  • Druid Totem
  • blood of the ally
  • blood of the enemy

Let’s start with the Druid Totem and see how to obtain it.

Note that The Snare starts immediately after completing the previous quest, and if you open your map, you’ll see a search area in The Fetid Farmlands on the west side of The Downs area.

Where To Find the Druid Totem in Diablo 4

You need to look for the Druid Totem in the said search area.

The quest item is located on the west side of the search area; look for a farmer kneeling in front of the Totem, just like in the next screenshot.

The Druid Totem is found in The Fetid Farmlands

Shortly after reaching the spot, the Farmer will shapeshift into a werewolf you must now kill.

Take down the foe with caution because he is an Elite, then pick up the Worn Carving.

Now that you’ve obtained the Druid Totem, you must head to The Harrowfields, also on the west side of the area, and complete the blood ritual.

On the following map, we’ve pinpointed the exact location you must get to.

Location of The Harrowfields blood ritual

Interact with the Druid Ritual Site when you reach the place, then slay Enraged Goatmen inside the ritual circle.

After killing enough Goatmen, you must take the Vial of Khazra Blood by going to the blue waypoint on your minimap and interacting with the Blood-filled Bottle.

Next, you must complete the blood ritual at The Wraithstead, on the east side of the area; check our map below for the location.

Same process here, interact with the Druid Ritual Site, then slay the Enraged Werewolves inside the red circle.

When you’re done, pick up the Vial of Werewolf Blood and go speak with Artair, who is waiting to the west, relatively close.

The NPC will tell you that while you were gathering the needed items, he was researching the ritual you’ll need to perform.

You and Artair are going to summon Una, defeat her, then seal the magic back within the Totem.

Sounds like a plan, but for now, you’re done as Diablo 4 Snare quest is finished, and you receive XP, Gold, Renown points, and a Cache. However, if you are curious about how the story of the questline ends, don’t forget to complete the last quest, With Fangs Bared.
