Diablo IV A Sodden Pact: Where To Find Sodden Growths Hair

Diablo 4 A Sodden Pact follows the events of the Whispers From Below side-quest, during which you have discovered that the Scosglen coast is haunted by a wight who recently drowned Cecil and his grandchildren.

A Sodden Pact is the second side quest in the questline of the same name and one of the Scosglen side-quests you can complete while exploring the second region in the video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment.

After finding what killed Cecil, Callum, and Devlin, Roina, wants you to meet her at the Abandoned Coast to reveal her plan that will eventually help you deal with the wight.

How To Start A Sodden Pact Quest in Diablo 4

To be able to play A Sodden Pact quest in Diablo 4, you must complete the Whispers From Below side-quest, which opens Roina’s questline.

Once you solve the mystery surrounding Cecil and his grandchildren, Roina asks you to meet her at the Abandoned Coast northeast of Marowen, as shown on the following map.

This means that A Sodden Pact starts automatically after Whispers From Below, and your first objective is to find Roina at the location we have marked above.

Roina will be waiting for you atop a cliff by the coast. When you ask her what will happen next, she’ll tell you that the two of you will be hunting the wight. If you pay close attention, behind Roina, you’ll see one of the wight’s victims tangled in hair.

According to Roina, the victim managed to float out of the wight’s lair, which you’ll access later. For now, you must gather hair from five Sodden Growths.

How To Collect Hair From the Sodden Growths in Diablo 4

To collect hair from the Sodden Growths in Diablo 4, first, you must know what you are looking for or what the Sodden Growths look like.

As you can see below, a Diablo 4 Sodden Growth is a large pile of black hair you can interact with to gather a small sample of the wight’s hair.

Now that you know what you are looking for, it is also worth outlining that these Sodden Growths spawn throughout the village nearby.

If you want to find them faster, prioritize the houses you can enter because you’ll find piles of hair in most of them.

Here are five spawning locations where we have found the five Sodden Growhs.

Following the same order as the one on the map above, check the following spots:

1. Inside the house east of Rotting Outhouse Cellar
2. The edge of the cliff behind a small wooden shack
3. In a small alcove near a stone wall
4. Inside a large house without a roof
5. Near some buckets at the edge of the cliff

Once you obtain the five hair samples, head back to Roina, who will wait for you on the western island marked on your map.

When talking to Roina, she’ll tell you that she can start a ritual she learned from her mother using the hair you have found. The ritual should help the two of you deal with the wight; however, she needs to be at a druid site near Linnead to perform it. That’s the next location you must visit to continue the Sodden Pact questline in Diablo 4.

After finishing Diablo 4 A Sodden Pact side-quest, empty your inventory before heading east toward the starting location of the next quest, named Untangling Truths.
