The Speaking Stone is a Diablo 4 side-quest available in the Kehjistan region of the video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and released on June 6, 2023.

Diablo 4 The Speaking Stone, which is part of the 44 Kehjistan side-quests and the A Voice From The Past questline, can be tricky because you need to find a hidden shrine.

However, for finishing the quest, you we’ll be rewarded with 20 Kehjistan Renown points, XP, and Gold.

Also, the Speaking Stone quest is required if you’re aiming for 100% completion in the Kehjistan region.

Thus, it would be best to refer to our walkthrough below to make sure you don’t waste too much time completing D4 The Speaking Stone side-quest.

How To Start The Speaking Stone Quest in Diablo 4

Starting the Speaking Stone quest is very easy, as it doesn’t require any special requirement; you just have to get to Act 4 and the Kehjistan region.

Then you have to visit the biggest town in the desert region.

The town is named Gea Kul, and it’s located on the western side of the Southern Expanse area.

Luckily the town has a Waypoint, and you can use it to fast travel if you have already unlocked it, of course.

Once you reach the town, head to its southern part and look for a Fisherman by the dock.

Just in case you need further assistance, we’ve pinpointed the NPC’s exact location on the next map.

Diablo 4 The Speaking Stone becomes available from the start of Act 4

When talking to the Fisherman, you learn about an old shrine north of the city that apparently can speak.

Everybody thinks the Fisherman has gone mad, but he hopes you can believe him and check the shrine for yourself.

Because you promise you’ll look into it, let’s see how to get to this shrine.

Where To Find the Mysterious Shrine in Diablo 4

Upon finishing your conversation with the Fisherman, you can open your map to see the quest’s search area on the north side of the Southern Expanse.

In the said area, you can find the shrine the Fisherman was talking about, and to get there faster, you can use your mount, provided you’ve unlocked it at the start of Act 4.

Now, if you’ve reached the search area and simply can’t find the shrine, we’ll provide further aid with the following D4 map, where we’ve marked the exact spot you must get to.

The quest's search area is on the north side of the Southern Expanse

Note that there are several mobs around the search area that can be annoying if not dealt with.

To finally complete Diablo 4 Speaking Stone, all you have to do is reach the place pinpointed on the map above, so all you have to do is show up.

Below you have an image with the shrine, just to know what precisely you’re looking for.

Now that you’re done, you can start the next quest in the questline, named A Voice from the Past.
