Diablo 4 The Swamp’s Protection is a side-quest in which you must help an old woman named Timue by checking on her infected neighbors in the Blightmarsh area of the Hawezar region.

The Swamp Protection side-quest is mandatory if you’re aiming for 100% completion in the swampy region.

Swamp’s Protection can get tricky because you need to find three NPCs, each in a different location, so you have to do a lot of searching.

As such, we’ll provide step-by-step instructions throughout the following walkthrough to help you eventually finish D4 The Swamp’s Protection side-quest.

How To Start The Swamp’s Protection Quest in Diablo 4

Swamp Protection, which counts as one of the 49 Hawezar side-quests, becomes available after completing the Cold Blood main-quest in Act 5 of D4.

When you’re all done, you must make your way to the southeastern part of the Blightmarsh area and look for Timue in her hut at the exact spot marked on the map below.

Then talk to the old woman to learn she needs help getting some supplies to three of her infected neighbors.

The neighbors are named Baridan, Duraya, and Raldin. Unfortunately, they are located in different places; thus, let’s see where you can find each one.

On the next map, we’ve pinpointed the locations of the infected in the same order you must visit them.

The Infected Neighbors are found on the south side of the Blightmarsh area

As you can see, all of them can be found really close to Timue’s hut on the south side of the Blightmarsh area.

Upon reaching the first location, you’ll meet Baridan, who will be very thankful for the supplies.

At the second location, you’ll find Duraya, and she will be less excited to see you than Baridan was.

Finally, at the third spot, you’ll have to get Raldin out of the hands of some bandits.

After killing the bandits, follow the blue marker on the minimap and talk to Raldin.

The NPC will tell you that the bandits who attacked him have a camp by the coast and might have his brother there.

To continue, you can open your map to see a search area on the north side of the Forsaken Coast area, as shown below.

Therefore, make your way there and clear the bandits, but proceed with caution as you’ll also have to slay an Elite.

Once you’re done with the bandits, you must return to Timue and tell him everything.

The NPC will thank you for sating the swamp with the bandits’ blood.

That’s all, friend! You’re done with Diablo 4 Swamp’s Protection quest, and your rewards are Gold, XP, Renown points, and a Cache. However, there are more Hawezar side-quests waiting for completion, like Tangled Memories.
