Disney Dreamlight Valley Chasing The Wind: How To Craft Wind Chimes

Chasing The Wind is the second quest you will encounter in the Frozen Realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

During the Chasing The Wind quest, you will help Elsa to calm Gale the Wind Spirit by crafting Wind Chimes and placing them in the nearby trees.

So, in the following guide, we will explain the entire process of how to complete the Chasing The Wind quest in the video game developed by Gameloft.

How To Complete Disney Dreamlight Valley Chasing The Wind Quest

To complete the Chasing The Wind quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll have to finish the following objectives:

• Meet Elsa on the other side of the bridge
• Gather the materials for the Wind Chimes:
  • Softwood (x15)
  • Iron Ingot (x3)
  • Twine (x3)
• Craft the Wind Chimes (x3)
• Return to the Frozen Realm and find your way back to Elsa
• Place all three Wind Chimes in different trees near Elsa
• Talk to Elsa

After you complete The Spirits of Nature quest by helping Anna find Branni, the Fire Spirit, wake up the Earth Giant blocking the path through the Enchanted Forest by preparing a Stone Soup and calm the Water Spirit by pulling Anna’s Engagement Ring out of the calm pond, talk to Elsa on the other side of the river.

How To Craft Wind Chimes In Chasing The Wind Quest

She will ask you to help calm Gale the Wind Spirit by placing Wind Chimes in the trees around him. But first, we will need to gather some materials to craft the Wind Chimes.

You can find Softwood scattered all over Plaza and Peaceful Meadow. They look like a couple of branches on top of each other.

Iron Ingot is a craftable material that can be made under the Refined Material tab at the Crafting Station. To craft Iron Ingot (x3), you will need Iron Ore (x15) and Coal Ore (x3).

While Coal Ore is very common, and you can find it nearly everywhere, to find Iron Ore early on, you’ll have to unlock Forest of Valor or Glade of Trust (or both).

Once you unlock either biome, look on the edges for the Rock Spots to mine Iron Ore (x15).

The last material, Twine, is given to you by Elsa, so you don’t have to worry about it.

Once you’ve gathered Softwood (x15), Iron Ore (x15), and Coal Ore (x3), go to a Crafting Station, select the Refined Material Tab, and craft Iron Ingot (x3). Then, select the Functional Items tab and craft Wind Chimes (x3).

Return to the Frozen Realm and make your way back to Elsa.

How To Place Wind Chimes In Trees In Chasing The Wind Quest

Look for the sparkling thin white trees and interact with them to place the Wind Chimes on the Low-Hanging Branches.

The first location is on Elsa’s left side, and the last two are on Elsa’s right side, a bit further away (check the image below).

Once you’ve placed all three Wind Chimes on the Low-Hanging Branches, talk to Elsa to complete the Chasing The Wind quest and unlock the next quest in line named Welcoming Anna.

Welcoming Anna Quest

After you complete the Chasing The Wind quest, talk to Anna in the Frozen Realm and invite her to the Dreamlight Valley.

Once she accepts your invitation, return to your Village to welcome Anna.

Talk to her one more time to conclude the Welcoming Anna quest and unlock the following quest in line named An Icy Invitation.
