Elsa will begin to remember more about the mysterious Puzzle Pedestal Crests you’ve found together in Elsa’s previous quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Therefore, Elsa is ready to solve the Ice Cavern mystery for good by finding the missing Green Crest and placing the required items on the pedestals.
So, follow our comprehensive guide to learn how to complete The Ice Cavern Mystery in the life-sim adventure game developed by Gameloft for PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation platforms.
How To Complete Disney Dreamlight Valley The Ice Cavern Mystery Quest
Once you complete The Singing Ice quest by upgrading your pickaxe and breaking the bigger ice blocks inside Elsa’s Ice Cavern, reach Friendship Level 10 with Elsa and then talk to her to begin The Ice Cavern Mystery quest.
She will tell you that she starts to remember more and more about the Crests and also she is the one who hid them but can’t quite remember why.
So, you decide to follow the thread of her broken memories and check Anna’s and Elsa’s ice statues inside the Ice Cavern.

Go inside the Ice Cavern, follow Elsa to the ice statues, and talk to her. She will remember that Anna’s helped her hide the final Crest and urges you to speak with her.
Where To Find The Green Crest In The Ice Cavern Mystery Quest
When you talk to Anna about the final Green Crest, she will give you the following clues:
- in her family for a long time
- in the dining room
- making odd music every hour, on the hour
Travel to Forest of Valor, go inside Anna’s House covered in ice, and interact with her Grandfather’s Clock on the right side of the dining room between the two couches to obtain the Green Crest.

With the Green Crest in your inventory, return to the Ice Cavern, and place it on the Puzzle Pedestal on the wall.
Talk to Elsa, who will remember that she wanted to keep something safe from the Forgetting before she left the Dreamlight Valley.
The Ice Cavern Mystery Pedestal Items
Now that you’ve put the Crests back in their rightful place, you will need to put the right items on the glowing pedestals in front of the wall. So, you will have to collect the following items:
- Arendellian Pickled Herring
- White Passion Lily
- Carrot
- Gold Ingot
Arendellian Pickled Herring is the recipe you’ve prepared during the What Home Feels Like quest for Elsa, and you will need to gather the following ingredients:
- Herring – can be acquired by fishing in the waters of Glade of Trust and Dazzle Beach.
- Lemon- can be gathered from the lemon trees around Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor.
- Onion – can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in Forest of Valor.
- Garlic – grows wildly around the Forest of Valor.
- Any Herb/Spice (Basil or Oregano) – up to your choice.
White Passion Lily can be found only in Frosted Heights (check the image below to see what it looks like).

The Carrot is available for purchase at Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow after you fully upgrade it.
If you don’t see it listed, buy Carrot Seeds for 10 Star Coins each, grow and harvest them in 15 minutes.

Finally, the Gold Ingot is a craftable material that can be made at the Crafting Station using 5 Gold Nuggets and 1 Coal ore.
To gather Gold Nuggets, mine the Rock Spots around Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands edges.

Once you’ve gathered all four items required for the pedestals, go back to the Ice Cavern and place the items in their rightful place.

Talk to Elsa to use her Dreamlight Magic and remove the ice around the Icy Chest, then open it to reveal its contents: Elsa’s Gown.
Give the Gown to Elsa, and in exchange for your efforts to solve the Ice Cavern puzzle, she will gift it to you, finishing The Ice Cavern Mystery quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Congratulations on completing Elsa’s final quest during Early Access in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
