In The Dead Of Night is one of the shortest God Of War Ragnarok Plains Favours you can finish if you want to get 100% completion in Vanaheim.

God Of War Ragnarok In The Dead Of Night also leads to an item you need to retrieve for another Favor you can start in The Jungle area.

As one of the 47 GoW Ragnarok Favours, In The Dead Of Night is mandatory, and even if it’s accessible, there are several aspects you have to be aware of.

The Favor revolves around a blue Dreki Kratos must find and kill. So if you wonder how to track the Dreki in the following God Of War Ragnarok In The Dead Of Night walkthrough, we’ll discuss the beast’s location.

How To Start In The Dead Of Night In The Vanaheim Plains

In The Dead Of Night Side Quest can be started after you flood the Plains Area, using the dam in The Jungle.

This means that to be able to play this quest, you’ll first want to complete the Return Of The River Favour we explained here.

However, after you release the water behind the dam, you’ll find Magnus. He is a ghost who wants you to retrieve the other half of a Mead Stein as part of the Casualty of War: The Stein Favour.

Since the other half of the said Mead Stein is inside the Dreki’s Lair, you are about the explore; you should consider starting the Casualty of War: The Stein Favour immediately after flooding The Crater.

The next step is to head back to the Westen Plains Mystic Gateway and The Plains Celestial Altar.

Use the altar to change the time if needed because, as the name implies, In The Dead Of Night Quest can only be played during the night.

While standing next to the altar in the distance (pictured below), you can notice some blue blood stains glowing in the dark.

How To Track The Dreki

Now, if you want, you can get close to the tracks and take a closer look at them; however, this is not a mandatory step for completing the Favor.

If you want to save time, from The Plains Celestial Altar, head east towards the river. Remember that you have flooded this area, so you’ll get access to your boat.

As you approach the river, look for a Boat Dock. Hop in the boat, then row south until you see a solitary island like the one pictured below.

On this island, you can stop to retrieve A Scar Is Born Treasure Map and close a Ygdrassil Rift. If you are not interested in them, go around the island and head west.

The Dreki Lair you are looking for is in the northwestern corner of the Plains Area. You can see the exact location where you need to dock your boat on the following map.

Upon reaching the Boat Dock on the map, head through the gate now open (since you play the quest during the correct time of the day), and get ready to deal with the Blue Dreki.

After defeating the creature, the God Of War Ragnarok In The Dead Of Night Quest is complete, and you’ll also be able to find the Mead Stein Half for Magnus.

Now, keep exploring The Crater for more Favours and collectibles, all of them listed as part of our GoW Ragnarok Wiki.
