God Of War Ragnarok Casualty of War: The Stein is a fetch quest available in The Jungle area of the Vanaheim Crater, and it requires you to find the other half of a mead stein for Magnus.

God Of War Ragnarok The Stein Casualty of War is one of the 47 Favours in the video game developed by Santa Monica Studio, and it counts as one of the side activities you must finish to reach 100% completion in The Jungle area.

Furthermore, the God Of War Ragnarok Stein is one of The Jungle Collectibles we’ve covered here. Assuming you need help finding the other half of mead stein, throughout the following GoW Ragnarok Casualty of War The Stein walkthrough, we’ll guide you to the item you need to find.

How To Start Casualty of War: The Stein In The Vanaheim Jungle

To start the Casualty of War: The Stein Favour, first you’ll have to reach The Jungle Dam, an objective you’ll follow while playing Return Of The River Favour we explained in-depth here.

Behind the Dam, you can start two quests. The first is What Lies Below, while the second is Casualty of War: The Stein, given to Kratos by Magnus.

So, find Magnus upon flooding The Jungle. He is waiting for you on the other side of the Dam and will appear only once you get close.

Now, interact with the purple object in front of Magnus, and you’ll retrieve the first half of a mead stein.

Where To Find The Mead Stein Half

Once you trigger the Favor is time to look for the other Mead Stein half. So, from Magnus’ location, exit the dam back area via the crack in the wall.

Now take the elevator down and follow the path when you reach the ground until you see a Boat Dock on the right side.

Since The Jungle has been flooded, you can fully explore it using the boat. As you approach the boat, you’ll trigger another Favour named Trail Of The Dead.

Ignore it for now and stick with the GoW Ragnarok Casualty of War: The Stein Side Quest. Once inside, the boat; move northeast towards the large Celestial Altar in the distance.

You’ll find another Boat Dock on the right side as you arrive. In the distance, you can also see The Jungle Mystic Gateway.

After you clear the area, step inside the Mystic Gateway and fast-travel to the Western Plains Mystic Gateway we’ve unlocked while playing For Vanheim. Before continuing, make sure that you switch to nighttime.

Great, now from the Western Plains Mystic Gateway, descend to the large area east of the altar, and move southwest until you reach the river.

Find a Boat Dock and head south around the small island pictured below. If you make a stop on this island, you’ll find the treasure map A Scar Is Born, which counts as one of The Plains Collectibles we’ve covered here.

Past the island, head west, and on the right side, you’ll see another beach where you can dock your boat.

Get out of the boat and head to the area below, where you’ll have to deal with a blue Dreki.

This Dreki is also your objective for In The Dead of The Night Favour. So basically, you’ll hit two birds with one stone or complete two quests simultaneously.

Now, as you enter the Dreki’s Lair, first deal with the blue creature; then, you should be able to spot a pink glowing item on the ground while facing north. As you can see below, it’s near some rocks.
