God of War Ragnarok The Jungle is one of the three large regions in The Crater area of the Vanaheim Realm, which features a closed dam that blocks several sections of The Crater from being explored.
Once you open the dam and free the river, all three regions of The Crater will change, allowing you to explore the entire area without restrictions.
Here are all the God of War Ragnarok Jungle collectibles you can find while exploring the region:
- 1 Nornir Chest
- 2 Legendary Chests
- 2 Lore
- 1 Artifact
- 1 Odin’s Raven
- 3 Dragon Hunts
- 1 Casualty of War
- 1 Seasonal Stag
So, in the following guide, we will explain how to reach The Jungle region and where to look for all collectibles in God of War Ragnarok.
How To Reach The Jungle
To reach The Jungle region, you’ll need to complete the Scent of Survival Favour we’ve covered here to unlock The Crater area. At the end of the favor, you’ll end near The Crater Mystic Gateway.
Before going further, make sure you play at night because the path is blocked during the day.
So, fast travel to the Mystic Gateway in Freyr’s Camp region we’ve covered here and change to nighttime at the Celestial Altar on the left, then return to The Crater Entrance.
The Jungle Entrance is in the southwest corner of The Crater area and can be accessed through a cave. Let’s see how you get there.
From the Mystic Gateway, climb the ledge on the right, drop down, go to the left and drop down again from a marked white ledge near a torch.

Follow the path to the left, use the grappling point to swing across, climb the wall ahead and keep going to the left (south) until you reach a cave opening with two lit altars in the front.

Going through the tunnel, you’ll reach the hidden region, The Jungle. Let’s see where to find all the collectibles.
Artefact (An Organisation: In The Future – Kvasir’s Poems Set): In The Cave
After jumping into the cave and dealing with the enemies, you’ll have to climb the vines on the left wall to cross the ravine.
On the other side, you’ll find the GoW Ragnarok Jungle Artefact glowing purple near a corpse in the corner.

If you wish to know how many Artefacts are around the Nine realms, check our Artefacts Collectibles Locations Guide here.
Lore Marker (Unforgiven): On The Dam
In the same area as the previous Artefact collectible, break the wooden planks, climb the ledge and follow the path until you reach The Jungle Entrance Mystic Gateway.
From the Mystic Gateway, go to the right, drop down, freeze the poisonous plant on the left with your Leviathan Axe, and climb the wall to the south, behind it.
At the top, you’ll automatically start Return of the River Favour we’ve covered here, where you have to free the river, as we’ve mentioned above.
Keep following the linear path, burn the red vines, and take the elevator up to reach the top of the dam.
After you clear the enemies, check between the dam’s floodgates for a stone tablet containing one of the 80 Lore Collectibles listed here.

Casualty Of War The Stein (Favor Item): On The Dam
From the previous Lore Marker collectible, jump back across two times and check the left side behind the pile of crates for a glowing yellow spot.
Destroy the glowing yellow wall using your Draupnir Spear, squeeze through the gap, and deal with the enemies in the area. Kill the enemy climbed on the dam behind the red vines first, then the remaining ones.
You’ll also automatically start the What Lies Below Favour we’ve covered here, one of The Jungle Dragon Hunt collectibles.
Behind the location of the enemies, there is a glowing purple item on the ground which will initiate the Casualty of War: The Stein Favour we’ve covered here once you pick it up.

Dragon Hunt 1 (What Lies Below Favour): Arena Behind The Dam
After picking up the previous favor item, you’ll have to burn the red vines on the walls. The first bush of vines on the left can be easily removed with a sigil and your Blades of Chaos.
For the second bush, place a large sigil near the gear, one on the gate below and another a bit to the left of the previous one, so you can reach it. To create a large sigil, shoot three sigil arrows in the same place to increase the effective radius.
Then, detonate the closer sigil to create a chain reaction that will burn the vines.

Turn the wooden wheel to lift the floodgates and make the river flow again into The Crater area.
Behind the wooden wheel, you’ll see a new path revealed and a wall with a spear spot. To stick a spear into this wall, jump on the platform to the right of the ghost/spirit, where you picked up the glowing purple item.
Then, swing across on the other side, climb the ledge, and go down the golden chain to fight against the two Dreki bosses as part of the What Lies Below Favour.
Defeating Dreki bosses and completing the favour will count toward the God of War Ragnarok Jungle Dragon Hunt collectibles in the region overview.

Return Of The River (Favour): After Lifting The Floodgates
After completing the previous Dragon Hunt, climb up the golden chain, swing across, and squeeze back through the gap you came here.
After squeezing through the gap, you will automatically complete the Return Of The River Favour.

Casualties Of War The Toy 1 (Favor Item): Near The Jungle Mystic Gateway
Now, take down the elevator and get in the boat on the beach. As you leave the elevator, you’ll also automatically start the Trail of the Dead Favour we’ve covered here, which counts as one of The Jungle Dragon Hunt collectibles.
Sail the boat east-southeast to The Jungle Mystic Gateway, which is not too far.
After docking the boat, clear the enemies in the area, then pick up the glowing purple item to the right of the Nornir Chest to initiate the Casualty of War: The Toy Favour we’ve covered here.

Legendary Chest 1 (Whisper Of The World): Covered In Red Vines
We will leave the Nornir Chest for now because we need to open a path first.
So, climb the stairs in front of the Mystic Gateway, then climb the wall to the right of the Celestial Altar. Follow the path and go through the climbing section until you reach some red vines on the other side.
To burn the red vines, place three large connected sigils along the ceiling and the cliff, and detonate the closer sigil to create a chain reaction as we did at the dam.

Now, hang from the ledge and jump on the other side to reach the God of War Ragnarok Jungle Legendary Chest.
Open the Legendary Chest to receive Whisper of the World, a Light Runic Attack for your Draupnir Spear.

Opening Legendary Chests is an excellent way to gather armor pieces and runic attacks, so feel free to check our Legendary Chests Locations Guide to find more of them.
Nornir Chest: Near The Jungle Mystic Gateway
Use the grappling point on the left from the Legendary Chest to swing on the other side, then turn your camera to the west to find the first seal totem for the Nornir Chest near the Mystic Gateway.
To open the GoW Ragnarok Jungle Nornir Chest, you’ll have to match the three runes from the chest with the ones on the totems.
For the first seal totem, hit the plates around the totem until you see the “ᛒ” rune.

For the second totem, push the plate, jump down, go near the stairs of the Celestial Altar and look northeast to spot some red vines, as in the image below.
Burn the red vines to reveal the second totem, and hit the plates with your axe until you see the “ᚢ” rune.

The third and final totem can be found right and above the Nornir Chest. Hit the plates around the totem until you see the “ᛊ” rune or hear the chest opening.

Open the Nornir Chest to receive an Idunn Apple or a Horn of Blood Mead. To find more of them, check our Nornir Chests Locations Guide here.
Odin’s Raven: Above A Red Chest
From the previous Nornir Chest, return to the boat and sail to the north, then head to the east when you get closer to the beach near The Jungle Entrance Mystic Gateway to reach a wooden docking station inside a cave.
Squeeze through the crack in the wall and defeat the enemies in the area, then check above the red chest to the south to find one of the 48 Odin’s Ravens mentioned here sitting on a wall.

Casualties of War The Toy 2 (Favor Item): Near The Root Bridge
After killing Odin’s Raven, check the west corner of the area to find a glowing purple item as part of the Casualty of War: The Toy Favour we’ve mentioned earlier.
Picking up the item will complete the Casualty of War: The Toy Favor, unlocking the God of War Ragnarok The Jungle Casualties of War collectible in the region overview.

Dragon Hunt 2 (Trail Of The Dead Favour): Above The Legendary Chest
The following GoW Ragnarok Dragon Hunt collectible can be obtained at the top of the area above the Legendary Chest you’ve previously opened.
Get back to the boat, return to The Jungle Mystic Gateway, and then climb the wall to the right of the Celestial Altar.
At the top, climb the wall on the left, swing across using the grappling point, follow the path ahead and climb another wall to reach an arena.
We couldn’t climb this wall after you’ve opened the Legendary Chest because the Ogres you’ve killed previously would’ve kept throwing boulders at you.
Defeat The Corpse Eater dragon to complete the Trail Of The Dead Favor we’ve mentioned earlier, and count the kill toward The Jungle Dragon Hunt collectible in the region overview.

Seasonal Stag: Beyond The Root Bridge
From the previous Dragon Hunt collectible, climb back down, return to the Mystic Gateway, and then interact with the Celestial Altar to make it daytime. This will make the plants grow in the environment, allowing you to reach hidden areas.
After changing to daytime, get in the boat and sail back to the area with the Ogres and Odin’s Raven, where is the wooden docking station in the cave. Straight ahead after squeezing through the gap, you can use your Blades of Chaos to reveal a path.
Use the grappling point to reach the other side and keep following the path until you find the God of War Ragnarok Jungle Seasonal Stag as part of the A Stag For All Seasons Favour we’ve covered here.
To interact with the Seasonal Stag, you’ll have to get the feed from the Ratatosrkr, the Squirrel at Sindri’s House.

Without the feed, you won’t be able to interact with the Seasonal Stag. In this case, use the Mystic Gateway to return to Sindri’s House, speak with Ratatoskr, pick up the feed, and backtrack to the Seasonal Stag.
Legendary Chest 2 (Jewel of Yggdrasil): Under Dragon’s Den
From the Seasonal Stag, follow the path ahead, jump across a gap and push the golden chain on the right. We will need it for later to return here.
Also, to open the red chest covered in roots, keep climbing until you reach a poisonous plant, freeze it with your axe, get near the edge, shoot a sigil arrow at the plant bulb, and burn it with your Blades of Chaos.
After opening the red chest, follow the linear path up and squeeze through the walls until you reach a dragon’s den, where you will automatically start the Path Of Destruction Favour we’ve covered here.
Climb down the hole and throw your axe at the wooden white-painted panel to spin it and lift the cage. You’ll find the God of War Ragnarok Jungle Legendary Chest near the cage.

Open the Legendary Chest to receive a Jewel of Yggdrasil, which can be used to upgrade your Amulet to hold additional Enchantments.
Lore Rune Read (City Of Possibility): Under Dragon’s Den
You’ll find the GoW Ragnarok Jungle Lore collectible written with glowing blue runes on the wall to the right of the cage.

Dragon Hunt 3 (Path Of Destruction Favour): Dragon’s Den
To the left of the Legendary Chest, open the gate to find a couple of enemies outside.
You’ll have to lure these Gulons inside the cage, then use the chains to raise the elevator to the dragon’s den, attracting the drake back to the den. If you accidentally kill all of them, move around the area, and they will respawn eventually.
Also, if you want to learn how to lure the dragon, check out our Path Of Destruction Favour we’ve covered here.
After defeating the Slag Horn boss, you’ll complete the Favour and unlock the God of War Ragnarok Jungle Dragon Hunt collectible in the region overview.

And that’s how you obtain all The Jungle collectibles in God of War Ragnarok. If you are still here after this long journey, check out our GoW Ragnarok Wiki hub for more helpful guides.
