God Of War Ragnarok Legendary Chests, unlike the Nornir Chests we already covered here, are smaller in size and contain different rewards, as you are about to see.

God Of War Ragnarok features 53 Legendary Chests scattered around all Realms but in specific locations.

Like other collectibles we already covered as part of our God Of War Ragnarok Wiki, the Legendary Chests also count for getting 100% completion of the areas where they are found.

This means that they are mandatory if you are a completionist.

Assuming you follow the story, the first Legendary Chest you’ll be able to unlock is found in the Aurvangar Wetlands region.

In the image above, you can notice that a God Of War Ragnarok Legendary Chest shines bright and emits a golden aura, making it quite different than a Nornir Chest.

Unlike the Nornir Chests, though, they rarely require any puzzle-solving and can be unlocked immediately; however, they are better hidden than other chests.

Sometimes, you’ll need to spend some time looking for them, but it’s worth finding every God Of War Ragnarok Legendary Chest because they contain Weapon Attachments, Runic Attacks, Jewels of Yggdrasil, and even pieces of Armor Sets.

God Of War Ragnarok Legendary Chests Locations

Following the same logic as other important items you’ll need to find if you aim for 100% completion, some Legendary Chests can’t be retrieved when you first visit the game’s areas.

That’s because they are in locked areas that you can access only by progressing through the story or by unlocking specific gear.

Therefore our Legendary Chests locations guide was divided into parts you can access via the table below.

Simply put, the table lists every location where a Legendary Chest can be found, alongside the realm you’ll need to travel to, the number of Legendary Chests in that specific area, and the rewards waiting for you.

As such, first, focus on the story and try to find as many Legendary Chests as you can. After completing the story, access our in-depth guides below and look for the remaining Chests or those you have missed.
