God Of War Ragnarok Lake Of Nine Collectibles Locations Guide

Welcome back to ancient Scandinavia and to our God of War Ragnarök game hub, where we’ll tell you everything you need to know about one of the most anticipated video games of 2022. Three years after the events of God of War 2018, we’ll embark on a new epic adventure as Kratos and Atreus, who will now face new threats and new enemies.

During this adventure, we’ll explore Midgard, Svartalfheim, Alfheim, Helheim, and Niflheim, which are filled with collectibles and puzzles. Starting with the locations of all Books required for The Librarian trophy, followed by the Artifacts you’ll need to find to unlock The Curator trophy; everything is covered by the guides below.

Additionally, we’ll tell you where to find all the Apples of Idunn, Horns of Blood Mead, Shields, Relics, Sword Hilts, and Crater Hunts. Last but not least, we’ll go over the trickiest puzzles and favors (side-quests) you’ll need to complete so that you can put an end to the upcoming Ragnarök.

God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine was one of the major locations in the previous title. Now, it is under the Fimbulwinter extreme environmental changes that foretell Ragnarök, the final destruction of all the Nine Realms.

Even in its frozen state, the GoW Ragnarok Lake of Nine holds many treasures for those willing to explore it, such as:

  • 1 Legendary Chest
  • 4 Lore
  • 3 Artifacts
  • 2 Odin’s Ravens
  • 1 Yggdrasil Rift
  • 1 Draugr Hole
  • 1 Berserker Gravestone
  • 1 Remnants of Asgard
  • 3 Guiding Lights
  • 2 Buried Treasures

When you first visit the Lake of Nine region alongside Freya during The Word of Fate Main Quest, you won’t be able to obtain many collectibles. If you wish to achieve a 100% completion rate of the region, follow this guide after the story.

Therefore, in the following guide, we will go over all God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine collectibles locations and how to get them as quickly as possible.

Buried Treasure 1 (Demise Of Dagestr Treasure Map): To The Left Of Svartalfheim Tower

From the Lake of Nine Mystic Gateway, head southwest and look for a yellow glowing ice block to the left of the Svartalfheim Tower.

Throw a spear and detonate it to destroy the ice block, then look for a glowing golden light behind the Ormr Loot Lizard.

To spawn the Buried Treasure, you’ll have to collect the Demise of Dagestr Treasure Map, which can be obtained from the Lore collectible located in The Applecore region covered here, in the Svartalfheim realm.

Once you have the Demise of Dagestr Treasure Map, return to this spot to collect the God of War Ragnarok Buried Treasure.

Also, to kill the Ormr Lizard, look above for an explosive vase and destroy the lock to make it fall onto the Loot Lizard.

Lore Rune Read (Tyr’s Left Bracer) & Guiding Light 1: To The Right Of Mystic Gateway

Go to the right and behind the Lake of Nine Mystic Gateway to find the GoW Ragnarok Lore collectible written on Tyr’s Left Bracer, which is part of the Guiding Light Favour we’ve covered here.

Also, interact with the glowing golden right in front of the collectible to receive the Gauntlets of Guiding Light, a Wrist Armor.

Berserker Gravestone (Berserker Waist Guard): In Front Of The Helheim Tower

From the previous Guiding Light Lore, head east to find the God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine Berserker Gravestone in front of the Helheim Tower with the ᚺ green runic letter.

Interact with the Berserker Gravestone and defeat Fraekni the Zealous miniboss, to receive Berserker Waist Guard, a Waist Armour, which is part of the best overall armour set in the game.

Also, defeating the Fraekni the Zealous miniboss, will get you closer to finishing Fit For A King Favour covered here.

Lore Rune Read (Tyr’s Helmet) & Guiding Light 2: On A Golden Helmet

From the previous Berserker Gravestone, take the sled with wolves and head southeast until you reach a giant golden helmet with smoke coming out of it.

On the inside of the helmet, you’ll find the GoW Ragnarok Lake of Nine Lore which is also part of the Guiding Light Favour we mentioned earlier.

Also, near the campfire, interact with the glowing golden light to dig up the Breastplate of Guiding Light, a Chest Armor.

Artifact 1 (Janbiya – Stolen Treasures Set): Behind A Wall Of Icicles

From Tyr’s Golden Helmet, head southwest a couple of steps to find one of the 38 Artefacts Collectibles listed here in a small room covered by a wall of icicles.

The artifact is to the right of the Raider Stronghold region entrance we’ve covered here.

Draugr Hole (Chaos Spark): Northeast Corner Of The Lake Of Nine

Now, from Tyr’s Golden Helmet, take the sled and head northeast until you see a ledge to the left of a glowing ice block.

Climb the ledge, defeat The Hateful miniboss to complete the GoW Ragnarok Lake of Nine Draugr Hole activity and receive a Chaos Spark, a fleeting remnant of a Chaos Flame.

Closing the Draugr Hole will also progress the Born From Fire Favour covered here.

Artefact 2 (Kila – Stolen Treasures Set):

From the previous Draugr Hole, head southwest toward the Tyr’s Golden Helmet and look for two ruined stone pillars on the left.

Go around the stone pillars and climb up the stairs to find the God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine Artefact glowing purple near a corpse at the top.

Odin’s Raven 1: Before Raider Hideout Cave Entrance

Climb down the stairs and follow the path east-northeast to find the GoW Ragnarok Lake of Nine Odin’s Raven perched on the right wall, just before the Raider Hideout cave entrance we’ve covered here.

Killing Odin’s Ravens will help you advance The Eyes Of Odin Favour allowing you to open the Legendary Chests located in The Raven Tree region in the Niflheim Realm.

Buried Treasure 2 (Viking’s Gift Treasure Map): To The Right Of Raider Hideout Entrance

To the right of the Raider Hideout cave entrance, you’ll spot a glowing golden light marking the location of the God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine Buried Treasure.

To spawn the Buried Treasure, you’ll have to find and collect Viking’s Gift Treasure Map, which can be obtained from the Lore collectible located in the Raider Fort region covered here, in the Midgard Realm.

After obtaining the Viking’s Gift Treasure Map, return to this spot to dig up the Buried Treasure.

Remnants of Asgard: On Tyr’s Temple Bridge

After digging up the Buried Treasure, turn around and head southwest until you reach the elevator on the left side.

Take the elevator up to reach the bridge to Tyr’s Temple and find the GoW Ragnarok Lake of Nine Remnants of Asgard group of enemies.

Defeat all the enemies to finish the Remnants of Asgard activity and get closer to completing The Last Remnants Of Asgard Favour covered here.

Also, don’t forget to open the Remnants Reward Chest on the right side of the bridge.

Yggdrasil Rift: Near The Frozen Thunder

From the Remnants of Asgard encounter, proceed toward Tyr’s Temple door, but don’t go inside.

Instead, climb down the stairs on the left and follow the path until you reach the God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine Yggdrasil Rift in front of a frozen thunder.

Interact with the Yggdrasil Rift to close it and receive the reward without an enemy encounter.

Artefact 3 (Maya – Stolen Treasures): Under Tyr’s Temple Bridge

Now, retrace your steps back to Tyr’s Temple door entrance, take down the other stairs, and drop below.

Then, go to the right under Tyr’s Temple Bridge to find the GoW Ragnarok Lake of Nine Artefact glowing purple near a corpse on an ice platform.

Lore Rune Read (Tyr’s Spear) + Guiding Light 3: Southeast Part Of Lake Of Nine

After picking up the previous artefact, head southeast to find the God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine Lore written on Tyr’s Spear, which is also part of the Guiding Light Favour.

To find the last Guiding Light collectible and complete the favour, check the Shores of Nine region covered here.

Also, to the left of the Guiding Light, interact with the glowing golden light to dig up the Jotunheim’s Essence, an Amulet Enchantment.

Odin’s Raven 2: In An Ice Cave

From the previous Guiding Light collectible, head west until you reach an ice cave in the southern part of Tyr’s Temple.

Inside the cave, you’ll find the God of War Ragnarok Lake of Nine Odin’s Raven perched on a rock.

Lore Scroll (Receipt of Purchase): Behind A Breakable Ice Block

After killing Odin’s Raven, take the sled west until you see a glowing ice block on the left side. It is immediately past the path leading to The Lost Treasury region covered here.

Throw a spear at the glowing ice block and detonate it to reveal one of the 80 Lore Collectibles listed here glowing near a corpse and the Mystical Heirloom Relic.

Also, to get the material chest behind the mist, throw a sigil (purple) arrow at the source of the toxic mist and freeze it using your Leviathan Axe.

Legendary Chest (Lion’s Roar Sauroter): To The Left Of Asgard Tower

After collecting the previous Lore Scroll, take the sled west until you reach the Asgard Tower with the X runic letter.

Destroy the glowing ice block to the left of the Asgard Tower using the Draupnir Spear, which will spawn the Frost Phantom miniboss.

To defeat the Frost Phantom miniboss, you’ll have to destroy the four purple stone pillars around the area after filling the white bar below its HP.

Then, open the GoW Ragnarok Lake of Nine Legendary Chest to receive Lion’s Roar Sauroter, a Spear Handle.
