God Of War Ragnarok Fit For A King is one of the 47 Favors in the latest GoW video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and the most challenging one since it involves defeating the Berseker Sous.

While similar to the Born From Fire Draugr Holes, the Fit For A King Favor is best approached after finishing the story because Kratos has to defeat a series of powerful bosses that will require not only skill but also the best gear you can find.

To start the God Of War Ragnarok Fit For A King Side Quest, you’ll need to progress the story to the point where you get the Draupnir Spear. Specifically, you’ll need to finish Forging Destiny which is the 10th Main Quest in the game.

On your way down from The Forge, alongside Freya, you’ll come across the Berseker Stone pictured below.

As you can see, the Berseker Stone looks like a gravestone that emanates green smoke. While you can also find other stones earlier in the game, you won’t be able to interact with them until you get Kratos’ spear.

If you decide to interact with the Berseker Stone, you’ll start the Fit For A King Side Quest, and your objective will be to defeat 12 Berseker Souls.

Before interacting with the first God Of War Ragnarok Berseker Stone, you should know that even if you play the game on easy difficulty, the bosses you are about to face are very powerful, especially early in the game.

When fighting them, it’s best to have a Resurrection Stone in your inventory so you can resurrect Kratos once in case he is defeated. You can buy Resurrection Stones from any Shop, and you’ll find them in the Special Items tab.

Furthermore, if you are focused on the story and not interested in fighting too much, you may want to enable the Midfight Checkpoints option. You’ll find it in Settings by navigating to Accessibility, then Combat.

This option creates a savepoint (checkpoint) when you deplete half of a boss’s health bar. If Kratos gets defeated when you restart from checkpoint, you’ll have to fight the boss, who has only half of his health.

Finally, it’s worth learning the enemy’s level compared to the current level Kratos has:

  • Green – The boss has a lower gear level
  • Yellow – Kratos and the boss have the same gear level
  • Orange – Kratos is one level below the boss’s current gear level
  • Purple – The boss you are about to fight is two levels higher than your level
  • Red – The boss will instantly kill you

Since the Berserkers are extremely challenging, consider fighting them only when your gear level is close to theirs.

God Of War Ragnarok Fit For A King Berseker Souls Locations

Fit For A King Favor in God of War Ragnarok requires you to defeat 12 Berseker Souls, but you should know that some fights feature multiple bosses.

There is also a 13th boss; you’ll need to defeat for this Favor, but only after you deal with the first 12.

Because the God of War Ragnarok Berseker Souls and Stones are side activities that count towards reaching 100% completion in the areas where they are found, the following table reveals their location.

If you encounter difficulties locating them, visit our in-depth guides for additional help.
