God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds is the first region in the Vanaheim realm that you’ll visit alongside Freya and Brok during The Reckoning Main Quest in your search to locate and destroy the source of Freya’s curse.
In the God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds region, you’ll be able to find and collect the following collectibles:
- 1 Nornir Chest
- 1 Legendary Chest
- 1 Artifact
- 1 Odin’s Raven
- 1 Hel Tear
Almost all God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds collectibles can be obtained the first time you visit this area during the story, except the Hel Tear, which will be mentioned as Undiscovered on your map.
So, follow this guide carefully to learn where to find all the God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds collectibles and how to get them.
Hel Tear: Near The Mystic Gateway
The God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds Hel Tear is located on the right after passing through The Southern Wilds Mystic Gateway.
It doesn’t appear on the first visit since it needs story progress to spawn. You’ll have to return after finishing the story (or at least after finishing the Reunion Main Quest).
Interact with the Hel Tear and defeat the waves of enemies to complete the activity and progress the Hel to Pay Favor.
Odin’s Raven: Circling Above A Lake
From the Hel Tear, follow the path to the left and go under the big tree root.
You will reach a lake with the God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds Odin’s Raven circling over it.
Get as close as possible to the shore, prepare your aim by pressing (R2), wait for the raven to fly right in front of you, and throw your Leviathan Axe in front of its way to kill it midair and progress The Eyes of Odin Favor.
Legendary Chest (Wrath of the Frost Ancient): Behind A Wall
Keep following the linear path until you lift a gate and reach an area with poisonous, explosive plants.
On the left side of this area, check for a hole in the wall with white markings above that you can crawl through.
Behind the wall, you’ll find the God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds Legendary Chest, which contains the Wrath of the Frost Ancient, a Light Runic Attack.

Artifact (Upon Pursuing a Place Not Marked On Maps – Kvasir’s Poems Set): Under A Breakable Floor
Make your way to the top of the ruins, and jump on the tower with the ornate metal workings around its base.
Before continuing on the wooden path, turn left and look down to the ground below to spot a breakable floor with a blue symbol.
Near the edge, press (Circle) to smash through the floor using the Blades of Chaos and find the God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds Artefact underneath.

Nornir Chest: On The Linear Path
Keep following the linear path until you reach the God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds Nornir Chest in plain sight. It’s impossible to miss it.
To open this Nornir Chest, you’ll have to match the symbols on the totems with the ones engraved on the Nornir Chest by hitting the plates above them.
If you match a symbol correctly, the symbol light on the chest will go out.
So, the first totem is above the chest and to the left, on a rock. Hit the plate with your axe until you get the symbol that looks like a “C”.
The second totem is to the right of the chest, but it’s covered in vines. Burn the vines with the Blades of Chaos by pressing (L2) + (R2).
Then, hit the plate with your axe until you get the glyph that looks like a lowercase “n”.
The third totem is a bit more hidden compared to the others.
While looking at the Nornir Chest, turn around, walk for a few steps, and you should spot the third totem above covered in vines as well.
Use the Blades of Chaos to burn the vines on the left side of the tree, then hit the plates with your axe until you see the glyph that looks like an “R”.
Once you’ve matched all the symbols correctly, open the Nornir chest to secure its treasures.
That’s all you have to know to collect all God of War Ragnarok Southern Wilds collectibles. The following region available will be Freyr’s Camp covered here.
