God Of War Ragnarok Lost Treasure is a Favour; you’ll be able to start after you find the Draupnir Spear for Kratos in the video game developed by Santa Monica Studio for PlayStation 4 and PS5.

God Of War Ragnarok The Lost Treasure Favour is relatively short and linear, but since it includes a small puzzle, it can become problematic if you don’t know what to do.

Furthermore, since it requires a weapon unlocked only later in the game, you may wonder how to start the Favor.

Because it’s one of the 47 GoW Ragnarok Favors we’ve listed here, if you are a completionist, you’ll want to focus on The Lost Treasure the moment you get the new weapon for Kratos.

Last but not least, while working on this Side Quest, you’ll find a bunch of Treasure Maps that require your presence in certain areas scattered around Svartalfheim.

If you follow our God Of War Ragnarok Lost Treasure walkthrough, you won’t miss any of them and will learn the correct order to complete them.

How To Start The Lost Treasure Favour In Svartalfheim

As mentioned above, you’ll be able to trigger The Lost Treasure Side Quest after the 10th Main Quest in the game, named Forging Destiny.

Obviously, you can also complete it after the story, but for the sake of the guide, we’ll focus on it immediately after unlocking the Draupnir Spear.

With the new weapon in your inventory, you’ll want to first find Durlin and start his quest named Spirit of Rebellion, explained here.

By working on the Spirit of Rebellion Favour, you’ll eventually have to look for Durlin’s Hammer, which is found in the same area where you can start The Lost Treasure.

So, start the Spirit Of Rebellion, then head north towards the area known as Dragon Beach. Use your boat to move north and find one of the two Dragon Beach Boat Docks.

Get out of the boat and look around for some of the Dragon Beach Collectibles we covered in this guide.

After clearing the area of all enemies, you’ll want to ascend the golden chain on the left side of the beach. You should see it on the right side of the Ormr Loot Lizard explained here.

Upon climbing the chain, on the next platform, you should be able to see a small air hole on the left side.

Throw the spear to create a pole on which you can climb to the next level. Now, you’ll find an Elder Wayfarer Spirit who tells you that he went searching for a treasure alongside his son. He lost his son and the Treasure and needs your help finding them.

So your next objective is to find the Treasure in Alberich Hollow, then you’ll have to find the spirit’s son.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that you can also find the Spirit’s Son first, thus triggering the GoW Ragnarok Lost Treasure Favor. If this happens, the outcome is the same, and the order of the objectives slightly changes.

Assuming you found the father first, after triggering the quest, it’s time to find the Treasure in Alberich Hollow.

Where To Find The Alberich Hollow Treasure

From the platform where you find the Elder Wayfarer Spirit, turn left and go up. Use your Blades of Chaos to swing over the gap, turn left, and follow the bridge ahead.

Jump over another gap, and you’ll see a rather large statue. This is where you’ll find Durlin’s Hammer for the Spirit Of Rebellion Quest.

While facing the statue, turn left, and you’ll enter a tunnel. This area is known as Alberich Hollow, and there are seven collectibles you’ll need to find. Make sure you follow our Alberich Hollow Collectibles Guide alongside the current walkthrough.

Once you deal with the Foul Grims, check the red jar to find a bomb you can throw at the pile of golden rubble that blocks the path ahead.

Keep pushing deeper into the tunnel and deal with the Nokken, then with the Ormstunga mini-boss.

After defeating the Ormstunga boss, at the end of the tunnel, you’ll find a pillar Kratos can lift. Before lifting the pillar, you’ll want to grab another bomb from the red jar nearby, then climb the ledge on the left side while facing the pillar.

From the upper ledge, behind the pillar, you’ll see another pile of golden rubble. Make sure you destroy it. Nearby is also one of The Lost Lindwyrms you must catch.

Now, head back to the stone pillar and lift it to progress to the next section.

As you exit the mine, you’ll see a Legendary Chest on the left side (pictured below). Loot it because it contains the God of War Ragnarok Lost Treasure.

Where To Find The Spirit’s Son

Upon finding the Lost Treasure, before descending to the beach below, you’ll also want to collect a Treasure Map that’s on the other side of the ledge where you found the chest.

It’s on the ground and counts as one of the Alberich Hollow collectibles. Pick it up to start the Fruits Of Industry Treasure Hunt.

After you collect it, descend the golden chain nearby and take the boat moving north from your current location.

The Spirit’s Son in God of War Ragnarok The Lost Treasure is found on Alberich Island.

While sailing north, go around the structures in the water to reach the Alberich Island Boat Dock.

Once you land on the beach, use our Alberich Island Collectibles Guide here to get 100% completion in this area.

If you’re not interested in collectables, from the Boat Dock where you arrive, on the right side, you can see another air stream on a wall.

Use the spear to climb to the next level, where the Spirit’s Son awaits next to a cart.

Talk to him, and tell him about his father. The Lost Treasure Quest continues, and your next objective is to find the Alberich Island Treasure.

Where To Find The Alberich Island Treasure

The Treasure on Alberich Island requires you to solve a puzzle that involves an elevator.

After you talk to the son, go up the ramp nearby, then you’ll find a wooden wheel.

Turn left to notice a pile of metal you can destroy with your companion’s Sonic Arrows. Follow the path behind the pile you just destroyed, then throw your spear (L2+R1) at the boulder near the elevator.

Detonate the spear (press triangle) and release the water from a geyser.

Head back to the elevator and swing over the water to reach the platform below. On the right side, you’ll be able to see a crane.

Use it to swing again, turn left, and near the water wheel; you’ll notice a glowing item: another Treasure Map. Grab it to start the Washed Ashore Treasure Hunt.

Good job; now let’s see how to solve the next God of War Ragnarok Alberich Island puzzle.

While remaining in the same area where you have found the Treasure Map, turn around and climb the next ledge.

On the right side, you’ll see a stone pillar you can destroy by detonating your spear. Make sure you do this so you can see the water wheel on the elevator.

Now, you’ll want to select your companion’s Sigil Arrow, then grab the chain. Pull it down, then throw your axe at the wheel in the distance so you can freeze it.

Ask your companion to shoot a Sigil Arrow, as you can see below.

Next, swing back to the platform on the water, and go to the other side. Recall your axe and freeze the geyser. When the elevator arrives, swing towards it, then recall your axe again to go up.

Great job! After reaching the top get ready for a fight. Clear the area, then use the grappling point under the small round wooden tower.

Keep going up, and you’ll find the Alberich Island Lost Treasure in a Legendary Chest when you reach the peak.

After you get the Treasure, things become pretty straightforward because you have to return to the father and bring him the sad news.

Use the zipline nearby to get to the beach, then return to the Dragon Beach area. Upon arriving, talk to the Father Spirit to complete The Lost Treasure Favor, which also involves a lesson for Kratos.

Remember that if you struggle to find the Treasure on the two maps you have collected, you can always check our God of War Ragnarok Wiki Hub, where we cover them in detail.
