Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom Pondside Cave Lake is the second lake you’ll need to cross in the Great Sky Island while working on completing The Closed Door main quest, and it involves a new contraption you’ll have to build.
Immediately after you complete the In-isa Shrine explained here, you’ll have to find a way to the top of the mountain where the third Shrine awaits.
Once you solve the In-isa Shrine puzzle, you’ll have to head south on your map and then east, where you’ll find the Pondside Cave.
After you exit the said cave, you’ll notice a large lake you’ll have to cross. Let’s see how you can do this.
Where To Find The Pondside Cave Lake In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom
The Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Pondside Cave Lake is found east of Pondside Cave, as you can see on the map below.
Crossing the said lake is mandatory for progressing The Closed Door quest; however, before exiting the Pondside Cave, make sure you loot everything inside and try not to miss the chest by the exit as it includes the Archaic Tunic, which is part of the Archaic Armor Set.
Now, after you exit the Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom Pondside Cave, you’ll find several Constructs you can talk to before building the next watercraft.
How To Cross The Pondside Cave Lake In Zelda ToTK
When ready to proceed, while standing on the lake’s shore, look around to spot several tree logs. As you remember, you used a sailing raft to cross the Great Sky Island Lake.
This time around, however, we’ll build a motorboat following the same logic.
As such, start by attaching three logs to create the base of the motorboat. Or a raft if you want. Make sure you select Link’s Ultrahand, and if you can’t find any logs, consider cutting down some trees.
After you attach the three logs, you’ll see several round engines known as Zonai Fans. These Zonai devices will power up your motorboat.
Place one of them in the middle, or more if you wish to gain some speed, but make sure that all of them are on the same side, as you can see below.
Finally, pick up the motorboat you just crafted using the Ultrahand, and place it on the water, facing the other side of the lake.
Jump on it, then start the engines by hitting the two fans with any of your current weapons.
And that’s it! You just learned how to cross the Pondside Cave Lake In Zelda ToTK, but if you have questions, feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
