Starfield Mob Mentality is another miscellaneous mission available in the pleasure city of Neon on Volii Alpha, where you must deal with a Seokguh thug who’s been terrorizing Tevin’s shop.

Tevin Anastas is a vendor for The Emporium, where you can purchase items for your home and outpost.

Unfortunately, some Seokguh thug that goes by the name of Headlock is causing a lot of trouble for Tevin Anastas and his business.

So, if you want to help Tevin Anastas and learn how to deal with Headlock in two different ways, follow our Starfield Mob Mentality mission guide.

How To Start the Mob Mentality Side Mission in Starfield

You can embark on the Mob Mentality side mission by speaking with Tevin Anastas inside The Emporium shop in the Neon City.

As you exit the Spaceport Terminal elevator, head toward the entrance of Sieghart’s Outfitters on the opposite side and follow the path on the right.

After Sieghart’s Outfitters, you will find the Stroud Eklund, followed by The Emporium. Head inside and speak with Tevin Anastas, sitting at the front desk.

You can embark on the Mob Mentality side mission by speaking with Tevin Anastas inside The Emporium shop in the Neon City.

Upon your first interaction with Tevin Anastas, he will mistake you for some ordinary punk living in the city of Neon.

After selecting one of the four dialogue options, he apologizes and proceeds to explain that a particular Seokguh member who calls himself Headlock is constantly damaging his goods.

If you are with Sarah Morgan, choose the dialogue option “Talk to the authorities, they’ll help you.” even though the corrupted Neon Security will likely not take any action.

After that, select the “I’ll handle this Headlock thug for you.” dialogue line to initiate the Mob Mentality mission in Starfield.

How To Ask Frankie About Headlock in Mob Mentality Mission

Once you agree to help Tevin Anastas, he will suggest looking near Frankie’s Grab ‘N Go shop in the Ebbside district.

Exit The Emporium, retrace your steps to the Spaceport Terminal elevator, and go through the door behind it to enter the Ebbside district.

From here, take the path to the left of Madame Sauvage’s Place, go up the stairs, and continue on this alley until you reach Frankie’s Grab ‘N Go shop. Head inside and speak with Franchesca Moore, the shop owner.

During the conversation with Frankie, select any dialogue option you want to learn more about her business and the things she struggles with until you see the following line: "Tevin Anastas told me a thug named Headlock hangs around here."

During the conversation with Frankie, select any dialogue option you want to learn more about her business and what she struggles with until you see the following line: “Tevin Anastas told me a thug named Headlock hangs around here.

Afterward, she will deny knowing him and request that you either buy something or leave her alone, which leaves you with the following two options:

  • [Pay 500 Credits] Maybe this will jog your memory.
  • [Persuade] I really need to know where he is.
Afterward, she will deny knowing him and request that you either buy something or leave her alone, which leaves you with two options: pay or persuade.

If you choose to persuade Frankie, you must earn 4 Persuasion Points in three turns. If you are successful, she will reveal Headlock’s location.

In case you fail, you are forced to bribe Frankie for the information. 500 Credits isn’t a big deal at the end of the day.

Whether you persuaded or bribed her for the information, she will tell you that Headlock can be found in Warehouse 04.

How To Deal With Headlock in Starfield

After you finish speaking with Frankie, exit her shop and make your way to Warehouse 04 on the opposite side of the Ebbside district. If you get lost, open your scanner and follow the waypoint on the ground.

Upon entering Warehouse 04, head down the stairs and speak with Headlock. He will welcome you with a few threats and claim he’s no longer a low-life thug.

Also, he will let you know that if you mess with him, you’ll have to deal with the whole Syndicate. Eventually, you’ll have to pick one of the following two dialogue lines:

  • [Persuade] It’s the wise thing to do.
  • [Attack] God you’re annoying. I’m taking you down.
After you finish speaking with Frankie, exit her shop and make your way to Warehouse 04 on the opposite side of the Ebbside district.

You must earn 4 Persuasion Points in three turns if you decide to persuade Headlock. If you are successful, you’ll avoid bloodshed, and you can return to Tevin Anastas to give him the good news.

But if you fail, you have no other choice other than to kill him and the rest of the Syndicate members inside Warehouse 04.

From my experience and testing, there is no difference in the final reward and no impact on the story, whether you persuade or kill him.

If you have no moral compass and want to earn some extra credits as well, you can convince him to stop harassing Tevin Anastas’s business and then take him down.

Return to Tevin Anastas and speak with him to end the Mob Mentality mission in Starfield. You will be rewarded with some credits and 100 EXP. If you want to embark on more missions in the city of Neon, check out our Wiki Hub Page to learn how to start and complete them.
