Diablo IV Discretionary Spending: Where To Find Lyndon’s Supplies

Discretionary Spending is a Diablo 4 quest, part of the questline with the same name, in which you must help the boss of Backwater, Lyndon, with a couple of tasks.

Diablo 4 Discretionary Spending is one of the 49 Hawezar side-quests, and it can be completed only towards the end of the video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment.

How To Start Discretionary Spending Quest in Diablo 4

To make the Discretionary Spending side-quest available, you must first reach the Hawezar region in Act 5.

Then complete the Knee-Deep In Filth main-quest and The Greater Good side-quest.

Thus, you have quite a lot to play before you can start Discretionary Spending, and when you’re all set, make your way to the town of Backwater on the east side of the Forsaken Coast area.

Finally, you must find Lyndon, the quest giver, who is waiting to give you a job in his hut on the east side of the town, as shown on the D4 map below.

The NPC requests discretion on your part and to meet him out back, where he will give you the details.

Now head west, outside of the town, at the blue marker on your minimap, where you can talk to Lyndon again.

The Backwater boss says he set up a deal to keep the town off any maps.

However, his bloodthirsty brethren might not want to approach the deal so diplomatically, which is why discretion is needed.

To continue, you have to find the supplies he stashed nearby and use them to pay off the law men.

Therefore, let’s see where you can find these supplies.

Where To Find Lyndon’s Supplies in Diablo 4

After finishing your discussion with Lyndon, follow the blue marker on the minimap to the supplies.

Once you reach the spot, you’ll find no supplies because Lyndon’s memory is playing tricks on him; what can you do? He is an old man.

His note says the location “should ring a bell,” whatever that means.

Now you have a search area to the north on your map where you must find the supplies.

If you have no luck locating the supplies by yourself, don’t hesitate to check our next map.

When you get to the location pinpointed above, you should see a bell, as it says in Lyndon’s note.

Near the bell, you have Lyndon’s Stash, and if you interact with it, you can obtain the supplies you are looking for.

Next, you must meet Lyndon’s contacts by the shipwrecks up north, and if you follow the blue marker on your minimap again, you’ll get there quickly.

The problem is that after you speak with Lyndon’s contacts, you’ll get ambushed by a bunch of Backwater Traitors, among which is an Elite.

Hence, you should do what you do best and slay all of them, but sadly one of the three contacts dies in the battle.

Of course, the two Crusaders are not happy with the death of their friend, and after negotiating with Lyndon, they say the arrangement won’t survive much longer.

Finally, talk to Lyndon yet again, who thinks he has a rat among his men and wants you to meet him in Backwater because there’s more work to be done.

But Diablo 4 Discretionary Spending side-quest ends, and you receive Gold, XP, and Renown points. However, if you want to continue helping the Backwater boss, start the Bait the Trap side-quest.
