Disney Dreamlight Valley The Treasure Hunt Part 2: Where To Find The Chest and Key Pieces

After you help Scrooge McDuck to find the treasure map pieces during The Treasure Hunt quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it’s time to find the hidden treasure.

During The Treasure Hunt Part 2 quest, Scrooge McDuck will give you the whole Treasure Map and ask you to find the hidden treasure in exchange for a percentage of the profit.

Therefore, following this in-depth guide, you will learn where to find the Chest and key pieces and complete The Treasure Hunt Part 2 in the new life-sim adventure game developed by Gameloft.

How To Complete Disney Dreamlight Valley The Treasure Hunt Part 2 Quest

To complete The Treasure Hunt Part 2 quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, finish the following list of objectives:

• Talk to Scrooge McDuck to begin the quest (Friendship Level 10 required)
• Collect the map from Scrooge McDuck
• Bring the map to Merlin
• Focus your magic on the map in your inventory
• The map turned into a Memory. Discover what secrets it beholds
• Ask Scrooge McDuck about the Lenses of Shadows
• Put on the Lenses of Shadows to search for the treasure
• Find all the pieces of the hidden treasure:
  • Chest (x1)
  • Key Pieces (x2)
• Go back to Scrooge McDuck with what you found
• Gather Gold Ingots (x2)
• Repair the key at your Crafting Station
• Bring the key and the Chest to Scrooge McDuck

After you complete The Treasure Hunt quest by finding all three map pieces for Scrooge McDuck, reach Friendship Level 10 with him and unlock all the biomes available in Early Access, then speak with him to initiate The Treasure Hunt Part 2 quest.

He will tell you that he put the map back together and that you’re ready to find the hidden treasure. If you decide to help him, he’ll give you a fine percentage of the profit.

Once you agree, he’ll tell you that the map has some sort of magical inscription on it. So, he sends you to find Merlin and figure it out.

Find Merlin and give him the Treasure Map. After he uses some magic words, he discovers that the Treasure Map contains a riddle that can be solved only by those wearing the Lenses of Shadows.

So, open the Treasure Map in your inventory to receive a reconstructed Memory of the Treasure Map.

Now, use the Treasure Map Memory to receive the Memory with the Disney Dreamlight Valley map and three locations to dig for the key pieces and the Chest.

After you reveal the Treasure Map Memory, return to Scrooge McDuck to ask him about the Lenses of Shadows.

He will give you the pair of Lenses of Shadows, which were locked in the safe you helped him open during A Forgotten Combination quest.

Open your inventory, select the Wardrobe tab, go the Scrooge McDuck, and put on the Lenses of Shadows.

Now, with the Lenses of Shadows equipped, you’ll need to find all the pieces of the hidden treasure: Chest (x1) and Key Pieces (x2).

First Key Piece Location In The Treasure Hunt Part 2 Quest

The first Key Piece can be found in the southeastern part of Glade of Trust, nearby the Pillar of Trust.

Look around to find a sparkling dirt pile and dig it to reveal the first Key Piece in The Treasure Hunt Part 2 quest.

Second Key Piece Location In The Treasure Hunt Part 2 Quest

The second Key Piece can be found in the southwestern part of Forest of Valor, nearby the Pillar of Courage.

Look on the left side of the pillar to find the sparkling dirt pile and dig it to collect the second Key Piece.

Chest Location In The Treasure Hunt Part 2 Quest

The Chest can be found near another cursed pillar in the northeastern part of Frosted Heights.

Check the area for a sparkling golden dig spot, and use your shovel to pull the Chest out of the ground.

With all the pieces of the hidden treasure gathered, return to Scrooge McDuck and show him what you found.

How To Repair The Treasure Key In The Treasure Hunt Part 2 Quest

He will be surprised to find that the Lenses of Shadows are working, then he will ask you to repair the Treasure Key using Gold Ingots (x2) to weld them together.

Gold Ingot is a craftable that can be made at the Crafting Station with Gold Nuggets and Coal Ore. So, to craft Gold Ingots (x2), you will need to gather Gold Nuggets (x10) and Coal Ore (x2).

To find Gold Nuggets, mine the Rocks Spots around the Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands.

Once you’ve gathered Gold Nuggets (x10) and Coal Ore (x2), craft the Iron Ingots (x2), then select the Functional Items tab and craft the Treasure Key.

Bring the Treasure Key and the Chest to Scrooge McDuck to receive 2000 Star Coins, Scrooge McDuck’s Spare Safe, and finish The Treasure Hunt Part 2 quest, which is also the last quest you can get from him in Early Access.
