God of War Ragnarok The Crucible is a region in the Muspelheim Realm, composed of several arenas, which feature a series of combat challenges for you to conquer.
Completing these Crucible Challenges rewards you with experience, equipment, and unique upgrade materials to help you maximize your gear.
But going through each Crucible Challenge can be a bit confusing at first, but we got you covered.
So, in the following guide, we will explain how to reach The Crucible region and how to obtain every collectible in the video game developed by Santa Monica Studios for PS4 & PS5.
How To Reach The Crucible In Muspelheim
To reach The Crucible region, you must find the two Muspelheim Seed Halves, which can be obtained from two Legendary Chests in the Svartalfheim Realm.
The first Muspelheim Seed Half can be found in a Legendary Chest in the Modvitnir’s Rig region we’ve covered here.
To obtain the second Muspelheim Seed Half, you’ll have to advance the story until you unlock the Draupnir Spear during Forging Destiny Main Quest.
Then, head to the Dragon Beach region, climb the golden chain on the left side, and throw a spear into the wooden beam to create a path to the Alberich Hollow region we’ve covered here.
You will find the second Muspelheim Seed Half in a Legendary Chest covered in gold ore, where you have to use the firebombs to clear it.
Please refer to our guides above if you need help finding and collecting both Muspelheim Seed Halves.
Once you obtain both Muspelheim Seed pieces, go to a Mystic Gateway, select the Muspelheim Realm, and fast travel to The Crucible region.
Nine Realms In Bloom (Ashpetal Flower): Near Blacksmith Shop
After you leave the Mystic Gateway, drop down and check to the right of the Blacksmith Shop to find the God of War Ragnarok Nine Realms In Bloom collectible.
If you wish to know where you can find the remaining flowers, check our Nine Realms In Bloom Favour we’ve covered in depth here.
Crucible Challenges (15): Finishing All Muspelheim Trials
The Crucible region features a total of 15 different Muspelheim Trials, each counting as a collectible.
Behind the Nornir Chest are three paths to three golden swords, each having a unique blue rune.
In the beginning, each golden sword has two different Crucible Challenges for a total of 6, which you need to complete as part of The Crucible Favour we’ve covered here.
After you finish the first six challenges and complete The Crucible Favour mentioned above, another golden sword emerges behind the Nornir Chest.
Interacting with the freshly spawned golden sword will start The Final Challenges Favour, which covers the remaining 9 Crucible Challenges.
So, if you need help completing all 15 God of War Ragnarok The Crucible Challenges, please refer to our favour guides above.
Nornir Chest: In The Middle Of The Arena
This GoW Ragnarok Crucible Nornir Chest is part of The Crucible Favour we mentioned earlier.
To unlock the Nornir Chest, you’ll have to complete the first 6 Crucible Challenges.
Defend Your Valour Favour (Gná Boss Fight): In A Small Camp
To the right of the Nornir Chest or the freshly spawned golden sword, squeeze through the gap and follow the climbing section to reach a small camp that looks like a circular arena.
Near the cooking pot, there is a glowing book on the ground. Picking up the book will start the Defend Your Valour Favour and spawn Gná, one of the most challenging bosses in the game.
It is worth mentioning that this area becomes available only after you complete the story.
To stand a chance against Gná, it is recommended to reach Gear Level 9, set the game to the lowest difficulty Give Me Story, and turn on the Miniboss Checkpoints in the Accessibility menu.
The Miniboss Checkpoints feature lets you restart the battle with Gná with just half of her HP if you previously depleted her health bar by half.
Also, don’t forget to buy Resurrection Stones at the Blacksmith Shop under the Special Items tab to increase your chances of depleting half of her health bar.
After defeating Gná, you will unlock the Defend Your Valour collectible in the region overview and The True Queen Gold Trophy.
And that’s everything you need to know to obtain all The Crucible collectibles in God of War Ragnarok. If you need additional help completing other regions, check our GoW Ragnarok Wiki Hub here.
