Icebound Geode is a gathering quest in the starting zone of Diablo 4 that might keep you from fully completing all Fractured Peaks side quests.

The Icebound Geode quest is similar to the Frostbloom quest, as both require gathering an item and returning it to a vendor in Kyovashad.

However, instead of gathering herbs to find the required quest item, you will have to do some mining in a specific area.

Although the side quest may seem fairly easy, certain players may encounter some difficulties locating the Icebound Geode due to an important requirement that we will explain below.

As such, in the following Diablo IV guide, we will provide you with all the information you need to complete the Icebound Geode side quest.

How To Start Icebound Geode Quest in Diablo IV

D4 Icebound Geode is a secret quest that does not display a starting location with an exclamation mark like other side quests.

It is also one of the two missing side quests in Fractured Peaks that holds back many players from completing the region.

In order to embark on the Icebound Geode side quest, it is mandatory to complete the story campaign. Only then will the quest become accessible and available to tackle it.

Once you have completed the story campaign, your next task is to locate the Icebound Geode quest item by mining Ore Veins in a particular subregion within Fractured Peaks to start the quest.

Kratia will be excited about your finding and mentions that it’s been a while since she last saw a geode.

How To Buy Acid Flux From Idania in Kyovashad

To get the gems inside the geode, she suggests using a special acid flux, which you can get from Idania, who recently received rare reagents from Hawezar.

Once you’ve finished your conversation with Kratia, interact with Idania, the Rings & Amulets Vendor. She’s standing next to Kratia in the same room.

Then, select the Acid Flux quest item from her inventory and buy it for 10 gold.
