After The Storm is the first quest in a series of three that you will encounter when you reach Moana’s Realm for the first time in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
You’ll find yourself on an island with Moana and Maui, where you must complete three quests to bring her to your village.
So, throughout the following guide, we will discuss how to complete the After The Storm quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Start The After The Storm Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
After you unlock the Dream Castle by removing the Night Thorns at the cost of 2000 Dreamlight, Merlin will give you a choice to open one of the three realms free of charge.
But, if this is the second realm you want to visit, you will have to pay a fee of 3000 Dreamlight shards.
To enter Moana’s Realm, proceed inside the Dream Castle and remove the Night Thorns from the middle door with 3000 Dreamlight.
Once opened, get close to the portal and press the interaction button to get teleported into Moana’s Realm and start the After The Storm quest.
How To Complete Moana’s Quest
Speak to Moana after entering Moana’s Realm for the first time to begin the quest.
When you ask Moana for help, she’ll explain that, while she’d like to, there are some things she needs to do first.
But, if you help Moana on her search for some rich fishing spots in the ocean, she will have enough time to help you in return.
The primary objective of this quest is to search the island for pieces of wood and silk.
Wood can be found on the ground in the shape of three wooden planks on top of each other, while silk is buried beneath sand piles, and you will need to dig and bring them to the surface.
So, to help you a little bit, we will show you all wood and silk locations for the After The Storm quest.
After The Storm Wood Locations
You can find the first two pieces of wood along the coast near the starting point.
The first piece of wood is next to some stones and a palm tree, while the second is between two palm trees (check the image below).
Go past Moana until you come upon a banana tree. The wood is located between the banana tree that you can harvest and the ordinary palm trees.
After you pick up the third piece of wood, turn around and proceed toward the wrecked ship. The fourth piece of wood is on the sand near the canoe.
Now, proceed towards the boulders close to the ship. Next to these boulders is a random sand pile and the fifth piece of wood.
Head to the other side of these boulders to find the sixth piece of wood for the After The Storm quest.
From here, keep going around the coastline until you reach another pile of boulders with some palm trees and a banana tree nearby.
The seventh piece of wood can be found between the banana tree and the rocks.
The final piece of wood is a bit further ahead, past the banana tree and near a blue shell.
After The Storm Silk Locations
After you enter the realm, you’ll find the first sand pile behind you, near the coastline.
Equip the shovel from the tools menu and dig to find the first piece of silk.
Follow the coastline, past the wrecked ship, and go around the boulders.
On the coastline’s tip, near a small pile of boulders, start digging the sand pile to find the second piece of silk.
Keep following the coastline, past the coconut tree, the pile of boulders with palm trees, and the banana tree.
Immediately past the banana tree, dig the nearby sand pile to find the final piece of silk.
Once you’ve gathered all the required items, return to Moana and help her fix the canoe to unlock The Great Maui quest (covered in depth here) at Maui at the top of the island.
