Disney Dreamlight Valley Breaking The Ice: How To Craft The Warmth of Summer Potion

After you help Anna find a place for Elsa in the Village during An Icy Invitation quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it’s time to help Elsa unravel the mystery inside the Ice Cavern.

During the Breaking The Ice quest, you will help Elsa to clear the chunks of ice blocking the way inside the Ice Cavern and find the source of the strange sound from the cave.

Also, completing the Breaking The Ice quest will permanently upgrade your Royal Pickaxe, allowing you to easily break the small chunks of ice.

How To Complete Disney Dreamlight Valley Breaking The Ice Quest

To complete the Breaking The Ice quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, follow the objectives below:

• Talk to Elsa to begin the quest
• Follow Elsa to the Ice Cavern
• Gather the following Ingredients for the Warmth of Summer Potion:
  • Vial of Ocean Water (x1)
  • Sunflowers (x5)
  • Lemons (x5)
  • Sugarcane (x2)
  • Garlic
• Craft the Warmth of Summer Potion
• Bring the Warmth of Summer Potion to Elsa
• Enter the Ice Cavern
• Clear the ice blocks inside the Ice Cavern (x4)
• Follow Elsa to explore the Ice Cavern
• Find the origin of the sound deeper in the cave
• Pick up the Blue Crest from the ground
• Talk to Elsa
• Place the Blue Crest on the sculpted wall
• Talk to Elsa

After you complete An Icy Invitation quest by helping Anna remove the three stumps to the Ice Cavern and welcoming Elsa to the Dreamlight Valley, talk to Elsa to start the Breaking The Ice Quest.

Elsa will tell you that she hears a sound from the depths of the cave and wants you to follow her to the Ice Cavern to show you.

Follow Elsa to the Ice Cavern in the Forest of Valor biome, and then she will tell you that the big chunks of ice are blocking the way and her magic has no effect on them. Then, you try to break them yourself using your magic pickaxe, but no luck.

How To Craft The Warmth of Summer Potion In Breaking The Ice Quest

So, you decide to gather the following ingredients to upgrade your pickaxe by crafting the Warmth of Summer Potion: Vial of Ocean Water (x1), Sunflowers (x5), Lemons (x5), Sugarcane (x2), and Garlic (x3) to easily break the ice blocks.

Vial of Ocean Water Location In Breaking The Ice Quest

To find the Vial of Ocean Water, walk along the shore from Ursula’s Cave towards the Goofy’s Stall.

Before Goofy’s Stall, you will see sparkling stars coming out of the Ocean Water. Interact with it to pick up the Vial of the Ocean Water.

Sunflowers Locations

Sunflowers can be found scattered all over the Dazzle Beach area (check the image below to see what they look like), and collect 5 of them.

Where To Find Lemons

Lemons can be found in the lemon trees of the Forest of Valor, near the Ice Cavern, but they also grow in the Glade of Trust.

Interact with the lemon trees to collect 5 Lemons.

How To Get Sugarcane

Sugarcane can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in Dazzle Beach, but it’s not always available.

If you don’t see Sugarcane in his shop, purchase at least two Sugarcane Seeds, plant, and water them.

Then, wait 10 minutes for them to grow and harvest them to collect the Sugarcane.

How To Get Garlic Cloves

Garlic grows only in the Forest of Valor and can be collected from the ground (check the image below to see what it looks like).

Look for three garlic plants and harvest them to receive 3 Garlic cloves.

Once you’ve gathered all the required ingredients, go to a Crafting Station, select the Potion & Enchantment tab, and craft the Warmth of Summer Potion.

After you’ve crafted the Warmth of Summer Potion, give it to Elsa so she can apply the potion to your magic pickaxe.

Return to the Ice Cavern with Elsa, equip the recently upgraded pickaxe, and break the chunks of ice blocking the way.

Enter the Ice Cavern and clear the room of Night Thorns and four more ice blocks, then talk to Elsa about the sound.

She will rebuild the ice bridge for you to cross on the other side to find the origin of the sound.

Clear the way, and you’ll find the Blue Crest on the ground near the Icy Chest, which is also the origin of the sound.

After you pick it up and show it to Elsa, she will tell you to place it on the Sculpted Wall.

Place the Blue Crest on the Sculpted Wall, then talk to Elsa again to conclude the Breaking The Ice quest and unlock the next quest in line named What Home Feels Like.
