After you repair the broken machine during A Broken Memory quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it’s time to reunite WALL-E with a long-lost friend and also an avid collector of junk, Ariel.

Through the A Friendly Exchange quest, you will help WALL-E meet Ariel and find a couple of objects for him to exchange with her.

How To Complete Disney Dreamlight Valley A Friendly Exchange Quest

Complete the following objectives to finish A Friendly Exchange Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

  • Find WALL-E’s Memory to start the quest (Hidden Requirement – ???)
  • Go see WALL-E
  • Talk to Ariel about the Memory
  • Talk to WALL-E
  • Find the objects mentioned by Ariel:
    • Bowling Pin (x1)
    • Light Bulb (x1)
    • Toy Train (x1)
  • Bring the items to WALL-E
  • Listen to WALL-E and Ariel as they exchange gifts
  • Return to WALL-E

How To Unlock A Friendly Exchange Quest

To unlock A Friendly Exchange quest, complete The Broken Memory quest by repairing the F02937 M3 N07 machine for WALL-E, reach Friendship Level 8 with him, and bring Ariel to your Dreamlight Valley by completing The Mysterious Wreck quest.

Now, the WALL-E Hidden Requirement (???) is the discovery of a Memory that can only happen after you reach Friendship Level 8 with WALL-E and Ariel is already in your Village.

This Memory reveals that WALL-E and Ariel were close friends, exchanging trinkets before The Forgetting.

How To Unlock A Friendly Exchange Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Finding WALL-E’s Memory is a matter of luck – you have a chance to find it by removing the Night Thorns around Disney Valley.

Keep removing the Night Thorns until you see it coming out as a blue sphere.

How To Unlock Memory A Friendly Exchange Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley

After you collect the Memory, find WALL-E around the Village to ask him about the Memory. Then, check the map and look for Ariel in the areas with water to show her the Memory as well.

Ariel will remember that she used to exchange trinkets with WALL-E before the Forgetting, and she’s thrilled to start trading again and expand her collection.

Talk to WALL-E to see if you can find the objects that she is looking for: Bowling Pin (x1), Light Bulb (x1), and Toy Train (x1).

The Bowling Pin can be found inside Goofy’s House in Peaceful Meadow, on the ground near the couch.

The Light Bulb can be found inside WALL-E’s House, between the bench and the trash can.

Once you’ve gathered all the objects mentioned by Ariel for the exchange, bring them to WALL-E.

Then, WALL-E will start looking for Ariel around the Dreamlight Valley, or he will wait in a spot for her to come.

Check the map often to find their meeting spot and listen to them as they exchange gifts.

NOTE: The meeting might sometimes get bugged, mainly because Ariel is a water-based character. If the meeting is happening on Dazzle Beach, try to push WALL-E towards Ariel to trigger the exchange.
