In Disney Dreamlight Valley Leaving The Woods Behind, you get to help Kristoff smell fresh again and earn 330 XP in the process.

Don’t worry, all you have to do is get some Soap for your friend, no weird stuff.

However, gathering the ingredients for the Soap can be tricky if you don’t know where to look.

So, check the following walkthrough if you get stuck at any point in Kristoff’s friendship quest Leaving Woods Behind.

How To Start Leaving Woods Behind In Disney Dreamlight Valley

You have only one requirement for Kristoff’s first friendship quest, and that is to progress further with Maui.

So first, complete the demigod’s quest named Burying The Eel covered in this guide, and only after, search for Kristoff to start Leaving The Woods Behind.

Don’t forget you can always consult your map if you have problems locating a character in the video game developed by Gameloft.

Where To Find The Burned Logs

The first task you get from Kristoff is to locate the spot where he made a campfire in the Forst of Valor area, somewhere near the entrance to Frosted Heights.

When at the said location, look for the campfire between the stairs leading to Frosted Heights and the river to the west.

Then interact with the campfire to pick up the Disney Dreamlight Valley Burned Logs.

How To Grind The Burned Logs Into Ashes At A Crafting Station

Now that you have the Burned Logs make your way to a Crafting Station so that you can make Ashes.

Interact with the station, make sure you’re in the Refined Material tab, select the Ashes and press the Make button in the bottom right corner of your screen.

The next step is to take the Ashes to a Cooking Station to boil them and extract Lye.

Once at the Stove, all you have to do is add the Ashes to the pot and press the Start Cooking button.

Now bring the Lye to Kristoff to see what’s the next objective.

How To Gather Coconuts And Carrots

Kristoff will ask you to speak with Maui to see what he uses for that pretty great hair he has.

After talking to Maui, you’ll find out that his secret is Coconut Oil.

So, Kristoff wants to mix Coconut Oil with Carrot Oil for the Soap, meaning you have to gather the 2 ingredients.

You’ll need 20 Carrots and 12 Coconuts, so let’s start with the orange vegetable.

It’s a good chance that you already have the 20 Carrots by now, meaning it wouldn’t hurt to check your inventory and storage (chest) carefully.

If not, you can buy the Carrots from Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow at 66 Star Coins per piece. You might need to upgrade the stall to make the vegetable available.

The tricky part is getting the 12 Coconuts because you can find them in Dazzle Beach only.

Head to the beach and look for the coconut trees that are slightly taller than you, have green leaves, and round yellow fruits, as shown in the next image.

Don’t forget that the beach is split in two by a bridge you might not have access to yet.

But you can get to both parts of the beach from the Peaceful Meadow area. Check your map to see the entrances.

You’ll probably not get the 12 Coconuts in your first run, meaning you’ll have to wait 33 minutes for them to respawn.

How To Craft The Carrot Soap

After getting all the ingredients, talk to Kristoff again, who will tell you to craft the Carrot Soap.

So, go to a Crafting Station, interact with it, go to the Functional Items tab, select the Carrot Soap, and press the Make button.
