In Disney Dreamlight Valley Lost Loves And Missing Memories, you have to help Anna make Kristoff remember more of her, and as a reward, you’ll receive 350 XP, besides being of assistance to two of your friends.
You have to help the couple, especially considering that you are the one who convinced Kristoff to forget Anna in order to lift a curse in the story quest, The Curse (covered in this guide).
You’ll need to gather some materials as one of the Lost Loves And Missing Memories quest’s objectives, and it can be tricky if you don’t know where to look.
So, in the following walkthrough, we will give you all the details you need to breeze through all the tasks and help Anna.
How To Start Lost Loves And Missing Memories In Disney Dreamlight Valley
The requirements to start Anna’s friendship quest are the following:
- Unlock Kristoff
- Reach Friendship Level 4 with Anna (check our guide here to make it easier)
- Progress Further with Mother Gothel (complete the previously mentioned quest, The Curse)
- Unlock Sunlit Plateau Biome (the cost of Dreamlight you pay depends on when you unlock the Biome)
To unlock Lost Loves And Missing Memories, you’ll also need to complete Anna’s previous friendship quest, named An Icy Invitation (check this guide if you need help with it).
Once you meet all the requirements, find Anna and talk to her to start the quest.
Where To Find Kristoff’s Climbing Gear
Just as you begin the quest, you have to follow Anna and listen to her discussion with Kristoff.
Then speak with Anna, who will ask you to look for Kristoff’s Climbing Gear in the Dazzle Beach area.
The Climbing Gear is in front of the cave where you meet Ursula for the first time in the With Great Power main quest (discussed here).
So go to the northeastern corner of the area and look for the Gear, which looks like a brown rope on the sand. Below you have a map with the exact location.
Show the Gear to Anna after you pick it up, and you’ll come to the conclusion that you have to repair it before bringing it to Kristoff.
Where To Find Hardwood
You’ll need to gather the following materials to repair the Climbing Gear:
- Hardwood x8
- Fabric x5
- Rope x3
- Iron Ingot x3
You can start with the Hardwood, which can be found in these areas:
- Forgotten Lands
- Frosted Heights
- Sunlit Plateau
- Glade of Trust
- Forest of Valor
The more areas you have unlocked from the list above, the faster you’ll get the Disney Dreamlight Valley Hardwood.
Look for the brown-reddish branches on the ground in the said Biomes, as shown in the next image.
How To Get Fabric
The second material is the Fabric, and this one needs to be crafted. You’ll need 25 Cotton to get 5 Fabrics.
The fastest way to get the Cotton is to buy Seeds from Goofy’s Stall in Sunlit Plateau.
One Cotton Seed will cost you 42 Star Coins, so this investment will not make a big dent in your savings.
Now go to your garden, plant the seeds, water them and have patience.
Go to a Crafting Station once you get 25 Cotton and craft the Disney Dreamlight Valley Fabric from the Refined Material tab.
How To Get Rope
The next material you can get needed for Kristoff’s Climbing Gear is Rope, which can be crafted, provided you have Fiber.
The Fiber can be crafted with Seaweed, so to get the Rope, you’ll have to gather five pieces of Seaweed.
Meaning you have to make your way to any source of water and start fishing. Check this guide to make the process of fishing much easier in the video game developed by Gameloft.
It’s very important not to aim for the ripples in the water because you don’t want to catch fish for this task.
You might still catch a fish from time to time, but there is a big chance that you’ll get Seaweed.
Make your way to a Crafting Station once you have enough Seaweed and craft Fiber from the Refined Material tab.
Then craft Rope, also found in the Refined Material tab.
How To Get Iron Ingot
The last material needed in Lost Loves And Missing Memories is Iron Ingot, and you need Iron Ore to craft it.
To be more precise, to craft 3 Iron Ingots, you need:
- Iron Ore x15
- Coal Ore x3
You get both materials in the same way, mining the black rock deposits on the mountain walls in the following areas:
- Forest of Valor
- Glade of Trust
- Sunlit Plateau
- Frosted Heights
- Forgotten Lands
It’s worth mentioning that I had the most success in the Glade of Trust area.
After you have the necessary materials, go to a Crafting Station and craft three pieces of Iron Ingot from the Refined Material tab.
How To Repair Kristoff’s Climbing Gear
Now you finally get to repair the Gear, so go to the Functional Items tab at a Crafting Station and craft Kristoff’s Climbing Gear.
Then bring the Gear to Anna and follow her to Kristoff. Eavesdrop on their conversation and talk to Anna one more time when they finish.
